That too... He'd have a much easier time finding a taker for old Websy!

I think Weber contract is trade-able, given the recap cost hits the Preds.

If A team felt they were on the verge and needed a big D for 2 years or so to put them over the top, I could see that happening. There are teams who would make a hockey trade for Weber.

Oh yeah? I think they'll keep him on the right side, makes more sense... And unless they make a move, it gives Mete and Reilly a chance to play every night, get to see what they can do

Let me put it this way.

He's a "left handed D" that shoots from the "right"

Right... And I think if he stays healthy, which he has other than this season, you get more than 2 good years from him, as much as 5 in the right surroundings

Just a thought Brandon but how can Brady be better than Matthew when, at the same age, Matthew posted a 1,41 PPG in the under 18 national team while Brady had a modest 0,9 PPG? Add to that the fact Quinn Hughes had the same numbers (he actually had one more point than Brady) than Brady in the NCAA while one being a D and the overrated Tkachuk is a forward? I like the kid but it feels like it would be a big mistake to take him with the 3rd choice. The 6-10 range seems more accurate.

Brandon Smillie: Who Is The “Best Player Available” At #3? Bob MacKenzie Has Spoken…
- Brandon Smillie

while it's all well and good smiley that you're patting yourself on the back because Mackenzie has tkachuk at #3, the very last thing this team needs is a grinding winger with seemingly not much offensive upside. with galchenyuk gone, there is no rational reason to not take zadina. he is the only nhl ready player in this draft where the canadiens are picking who has the ability to replace the offense lost with galchenyuk gone. if begevin doesn't pick zadina then he has to take a centre even though kotkaniemi is 3 years away from seeing the nhl. to take tkachuk doesn't make any sense at all, in my opinion. but then again, I have absolutely no confidence in bergevn's ability or vision so the idiot probably will take tkachuk.

By all accounts, MTL has no interest in Zadina. He's coming to Ottawa.

No offence, but it's not like MTL aka the prospect killer is any better.

He seems to think Tkachuk is a center but we all know how well the ambiguous winger/center poop works for Montreal. Whoever he picks he better not (frank) it up. If he goes off the board and drafts Kacophony or whatever the (frank) is name is, I just hope it doesnt blow up in his face and make us suffer even more. Also Tkachuk smells like a bust based his numbers and reports of his game which doesnt sound like it translates all that well to the NHL. I still think they should stick with Zadina; I don't know why the scouts are swayed so easily by a few little tournaments.

Also no direspect Brandon, but Domi is just giving the same speech everyone else who signs/gets traded to the habs gives.

Tkachuk is my pick. Polarizing player. I don't expect him to be a center.

Nice. How is an even strength 5 goal forward
a foundational piece. ???

Then why? Zadina will most likely be a better winger.
