Will be interesting to see how Botterill plays this one. He has decent leverage now but will lose it all if he keeps him and half way through the season he wants out.

Who knows, definitively. But there's been a ton of suggestion that this is true. Everyone with a contact, including myself, have all said the exact same thing. There's definitely a rift. And this exact same thing happened in Colorado. So there's a track record as well.

Now EK has the "Sabres having hard time finding trade partners" crap.

It's a matter of time now...

Who knows, definitively. But there's been a ton of suggestion that this is true. Everyone with a contact, including myself, have all said the exact same thing. There's definitely a rift. And this exact same thing happened in Colorado. So there's a track record as well.

Just listened to Botts interview. He said that a lot of times trades are made to set up other trades too. I get the sense he is looking a few different deals, and has to get everything solidified before pulling the trigger on one, to make sure he gets the end product he desires.

Canadiens trade the 3OA pick and Carey Price to the Buffalo Sabres for their equipment manager and lunch at Anchor Bar

For a little while anyways. If there's draft picks involved, it turns into a game of chicken soon. Hard to guess if he has an offer on the table he considers good enough, can only hope he does and is holding out in hope of more.
