I really don’t like looking at it that way. You do what you can to improve your team. You bring the best possible team you can into the season, hope you play well enough to get into the playoffs and then the team that gets the hottest in the playoffs wins it.

Washington lost two devastating games at home in the 1st round and when they came back from that hole, had unbelievable confidence.

At some point Hextall needs to do something. I’m not saying it has to be Skinner, but give them a chance for crying out loud. Prospects and picks are nice, but they aren’t everything... ask Edmonton. Can’t keep waiting because rarely it’s the “over the top” team that wins.
