How does that make the Flyers better?
- opeth_pa

I am too lazy to make a flow chart, but you can basically ask yourself...does the trade bring the flyers another guy and does it involve shipping out one of our guys? If the answer to both is yes, then it is a clear win

Here is a better one:

To AZ: Voracek and Hagg
To NYR: 14 in 2018 1st round, Strome, Crouse
To Philadelphia: Kevin Hayes, 26 and 28 in 2018 1st round

Boom. 3rd line center.

Take KAndre Miller at 19, Berggren at 26 and Foudy at 28

WINNING

- J35Bacher

#14, V and Hagg for Hayes, 26 and 28?

I am going to slap you with a rubber fish.

Oh Garth.

The Flyers are not dealing Provorov for the 10th pick....

That guy cracks me up.

Crack is the key word when it comes to Garth, the boy needs help

We are not trading Voracek. Plus, you don't trade Voracek; you trade Simmonds over Jake any day of the week.

Honestly maybe more than any other player on the Flyers.. I think Provorov is as close as we have to an untouchable.

Provy has number 1 dman with leadership capabilities written all over him. You don't get those types of players that easily.

Yes we are.

I saw it on the internet so it must be true.

I said Provorov for McDavid. And its written all over him in stone. He is a legitimate #1 defenseman in only his 2nd season. He has Norris trophies in his future.

I am feeling Carter/Richards all over tonight.

Simmonds in one deal. Voracek in another.

Flyers get youngish NHL vets in the deals plus picks. Time frame for the team aligns perfectly for when Hart is ready to be the franchise goalie.

The simple mind would say..."No way McDavid is worth way more"

Someone who understands your main point..."Yup".

I would have trouble trading Provorov for 4 1st rounders, Flyers know what they have in Provy and the chances of them getting it again is low.

What's the package that gets me this

To Philly - Draisaitl
To Edmonton - Simmonds

I don't know enough but I'm pretty sure we'd have to sweeten the pot going to Edmonton.

Someone mentioned you couldn't get Provorov for the 2nd overall pick let alone the 10th.

I personally wouldn't trade him for Dahlin either.

That's tough, I would have to consider Dahlin...

I just can't see Jake traded. Imo, Hexy would have traded him before extending him and I think that would have been the time. He's an Elite RW signed for term and there's nothing we can get or currently have in the farm system that can replace what Jake brings. Simmonds I can absolutely see traded because it doesn't financially make sense to resign him (Imo). Voracek can align perfectly for when Hart is ready as well. He's been relatively healthy and hasn't shown signs of slowing down. I don't count the 16-17 season because practically our whole team had a down year or had lingering injuries.

I read.

But it's an open forum and i am bored.

Buuuuutttttt.....I feel like something is up. The Flyers have too much cap space, too much ammo not to do something creative.

Remember the future is Hart. So I keep thinking the timeline is for when he is ready to be the franchise net minder.

I get it. And I understand I have absolutely nothing to prove my feelings.

Voracek was also the only real winger the Flyers had. Now Giroux has moved to wing.

Again absolutely nothing to prove this. Just my gut.

As much hype as there is for him from scouts/analysts, it is a slippery slope if you're building/planning your team around a young goalie who hasn't even played an AHL game yet. Especially if the major trade currently worsens the team and until Hart arrives.
