They should have let former kicker and master troll David Akers make the pick.

I feel like Clarke did it and Homer didn't? I could be misremembering.

Regardless, I really like how Hextall and Pryor did it last night. All business.

I've always remembered the Flyers being like that, which is probably why I wasn't shocked by Hextall.

Any info on previous draft picks...

Pretty sure Salinitri and Dove-McFalls weren't offered contracts, but what about Bernhardt, Tomek or Fedotov. I think Tomek is USHL?

If the cost is Sanheim and Konecny would you pay it?
- MJL

That’s too much for me.
But next year’s first and a 3rd or a Prospect yes

Sanheim is going to be a top pair guy I think and Konecny is already a game breaker type winger

It's all about the term, much more so than the money. They have the space to allot for today's Wayne Simmonds, who is a beast on the pp, a consistent 30 goal scorer, and a heart and soul warrior and locker room leader. The big question is do you still want to be allotting that cap space when he's 35-36, breaking down physically, has become a bottom six pp specialist that is only generating 7-10 goals at ES?

Unless, it's for a big hometown discount, I really don't want to go past 5 years as the absolute max and would much rather prefer 4, or even 3.

My best offers would be:

3 years at 21.5 million (aav 7.167 per)
4 years at 26 million (aav 6.5 per)
5 years at 29 million (aav 5.8 per)

If he insists on a 6 year deal, the best I'd offer is:
6 years at 31 million (aav 5.167 per)

If he wants 7 or 8, trade him.

6 years at 31 million seems like a pretty good compromise. I don’t think he’ll sign for 5 yrs or less. I’m ok if the play and production in last 2 seasons of the deal aren’t as good as the first 4.

Sure he could get a 7th year somewhere else but really that seems fair

You are paying for a middle six forward with all the positive intangibles and one of the best pp crease guys around

I think that's low balling what the cost for Hamilton would be.

Your right, I’d pay more then that but not Konecny or Sanheim.

Laughton, a first and a prospect?

If you had Hamilton, would you trade him for that? Not being realistic here.
