I'm not back-reading all these pages, so maybe this already came up, but Vogl reporting today at The Athletic that 26 will be Dahlin's to wear since Moulson's last season won't be spent with the Sabres. He also notes that the Sabres have been in contact with Moulson throughout the process, which makes it sound like the team might have gotten his permission to give his number away.

The Sabres will accommodate him again like they did last year if they can't find a trade partner. Vogl also notes that a trade might be an actual possibility this year since Moulson's $5m cap hit with only $2m actual salary owed might appeal to some teams after he put up 46 points in 49 GP in the AHL last year. I'll only believe he can be traded after he's traded, though.

Anyone interested in Duclair?

But you don’t score 20goals by accident,
and it can’t hurt to give him a shot on Jack or Casey’s wing

If Duclair doesn’t work out,
no big deal
It’s not like he’d cost us much
