Nice
With his shot, could be a potential weapon across from Jack on the PP - jdfitz77
Might be, gotta see if he can play in the NHL first. Scouting report makes him sound like a PP specialist.

That’s what I meant by we’ve seen almost no movement. I meant the whole NHL.
Once teams know where JT is going, or he’s “narrowed” his list to 2-3 teams we will see moves.
I truly think O’Reilly is going. Just too much smoke out there now. Someone will up the ante - sbroads24
To ST Louis.
Rights to Fabbri + Berglund + another piece (Prospect like Dunn or Kyrou)
Sign Duclair to a 2YR 4MM deal.
Now two young cost controlled LW. |

The more I think about it, the more and more I can see ROR to Ottawa post July 1.
Melnyk gets 7.5 on his cap and only Pays 1MM.
C'mon Erik Karlsson. |

It would be ironically sweet seeing Ror and Duchene together again. |

If so that's great news for the Sabres. The bigger the talent pool we have to stock our roster, the better. |

Matt Moulson owed 3MM while making 5.
Girgensons or Larsson.
We could get a haul from Ottawa for that.

I assume you mean Pominville.
Might wanna check Ennis season this past year.
Pominville doubled his production almost - sbroads24
Tyler Ennis - 73 games 8 goals 14 assists 22 points $4.6m cap hit
Marcus Foligno - 77 games 8 goals 15 assists 23 points $2.875m cap hit
45 points $7.475m cap hit
0.16 $m/Point
Jason Pominville - 82 games (!) 16 goals 18 assists 34 points $5.6m cap hit
Marco Scandella - 82 games(!) 5 goals 17 assists 22 points $4m cap hit
56 points $9.6 cap
0.17 $m/point
So overall, I think he "won" that trade. I think it was close, but we had a huge need for D (not that Scandella did that much there) but the trade was needed. You can't just get star / top end players without giving up.
I think he is doing an OK job, but could be doing better. Have to respect he wants to maintain his prospects to better his chances on hitting on one (some).

Just in 2015 alone, he traded away:
21 (to Ottawa for Lehner)
25 (to Winnipeg for Kane / Bogo)
31 (to Colorado for O'Reilly)
Some names that could have been had, of course hindsight here, but just stating a few....
23 Brock Boeser
24 Travis Konecny
26 Noah Juulsen
28 Anthony Beauviller
30 Nick Merkley
35 Sebastian Aho
37 Brandon Carlo
46 Daniel Sprong
So say, instead of those guys we could have had...
23 Brock Boeser 62 games 29 goals 26 assists 55 points (Kane had 54 points)
28 Anthony Beauviller 71 games 21 goals 15 assists 36 points (him over Lehner)
35 Sebastian Aho 78 games 29 goals 36 assists 65 points (O'Reilly had 61 points)
And all very young moving forward. But yea, no big deal. |

WOOOOOOOW (Owen Wilson voice)...
What a terrible terrible way to look at things in a vacuum. Dude was trying to just improve the team as quick as possible like we all wanted.

EH,
I thought he moved way too many assets for players.
Sadly, it appears I and others were correct (Not a gloat, I really wish I was wrong)
He tried to rush something, that could not be rushed.
But hindsight is 20/20. |
