Hopefully we get a chance to pay Patches 8M until he's 39. - TheSabresTaco
Makes sense he fired his agent then. He isn't getting 8x8 at his age after a down year. 6 fair? I still don't think he's getting 8 years out of anyone... |

We broke the record for being the 1st team to ever finish 31st, all while depleting the prospect pool to win now.
Yeah, he (frank)ed up. Open them eyes, kid. - TheSabresTaco
I feel like people don't remember how terrible of a team we were in 13-14..
Hodgson was our leading scorer with 44 pts. Ennis, Staff, Ehrhoff, and Moulson rounded out the top 5 after.
We had guys like McBain, Leino, Flynn, D'Agostini, Ellis, Conacher, Varone, Omark, Sulzer, Adam, Porter, and Konopka. We had goalies of Enroth, Lieuwen, Hackett, and Knapp after Miller was traded.
We were an absolute joke. From 2014 to 2015 we went from 54 team points to 81 then to 78 the following year. Still absolute last or close to it but there certainly was a point difference. We did not get worse though. |

He’s good but to old we should be looking prospects that are NHL ready or players that are in their late 20s help us build a contender
He’s good but he doesn’t fit the timeframe |

I didn't want you to get too excited about that late round pick again, there's no need to ruin a perfectly good golf game.
I have a feeling we should have no problem re-signing him. He loves Botts. |

If you were running a team, god forbid, how willing would you be to give up NHL ready prospects? |

The biggest winner if ROR isn't moved?
Mittelstadt - for obvious reasons
Nylander - this would be his best shot ever to make the team. Start hanging out with Eichel. Buy him dinner. Develop chemistry and make Jack lobby for you. 1LW would be wide open |

Only interest of a FA I've heard of was Carter Hutton. Surprised we haven't heard about more FA's we had interest in. |

I don’t want any of the good but overpriced old wingers (age30)
But I’m thinking we might throw some money at some defense like Calvin de Haa |

If Nylander does not absolutely dominate this camp, we have a problem. The only person that should be shutting down Nylander is Dahlin. |

I could see them kicking the tires on Grabner for a year or two. Don't know what Duclair's deal is. If he's problematic, forget it |

Me, I read his initial salary wrong.
but hey, whats worse. The guy that made mistake on salary or the guy that still thinks Tim Murray got a raw deal and didn't ruin this organization..... |

Seriously, that or does E-Rod slide to 1LW if RoR isn't traded and kept at center?
I'm still hopeful that RoR will bring a decent return, but that we're waiting until after July 1st to sweeten the deal. If he isn't, or if a winger isn't picked up, you're right, it's either Nylander, I guess E-Rod, or someone who has no business playing there. |

Botterill runs a tight ship.
Murray was too busy slapping PP's to know how to build a team.
But hey he got a raw deal. |

The only reason Tim Murray got a raw deal is because he didn't bring any culture to work every day |
