Reading the PIT board they say it's a really good deal for BUF. Thy like Sheary a lot, but realize it's the price they have to pay for a salary dump.

Based on the fact that Scandella and Beaulieu are from Canada, they're most likely to be moved

Wish it were the Flyers. But the Blues have some great pieces. There's no gun to our head, but I can guarantee it's no secret as to why we want to trade him. So it's almost

decrease value: slower, age, creates locker room problems, scores like a player with 3 million less value (5v5)

So what you'll see when this trade goes through is the max value of around 5-7 teams outbidding one another.

If the lightning win the JT sweepstakes, would it be worth taking on Callahan's contract and someone like JT Miller for a lower priced contract?

Callahan's contract is bad for his production, but he could add leadership and is from Rochester. That could put us on his trade list alá Gionta if he doesn't plan on playing too much longer. He has a 16 team list to submit for trade options.

Do that and then whatever deal you have for ROR can be made to free up some space.
