I'm not on your as$ (I do think, given the ice time he'll be given here and the potential to play on Jack's wing, he's a 20g man), but the Pens are getting shredded because the cap space is CERTAINLY NOT going to a better player, it's going to Jack Johnson. 🤢

We gave up a fourth for a dependable third line LW that we needed. I agree with the 15x15 assessment. But even then how many 4th rounders give you 30 points a year ? It‘ was a good hockey trade for us. He’s also proven he can play with elite players. Good for us.

If I'm understanding all the wet blankets on here, the only way this trade was a win if it was a 2nd round pick for a 40 goal scorer; not a 4th for a 20 goal scorer.

No one is pegging this guy as a premier goal scorer or "savior." Botts added a scoring winger to our weakest position for a fkng 4th round pick.
