I've warmed up to the Bernard-Docker pick on the view that he can be a solid top 4 defender who skates well and has the skills to get the puck moving up ice.
Tychonick is a hit-miss prospect with real offensive upside.

Well Rasmussen is the best prospect of the bunch and by pure numbers DET picked more players and are likely to have more NHLers because of it.

Also DET has been a bottom 5 team 2 years in a row now.

Maverick goes overboard with his sens love...but to say he saw him a few times and he confidently can say he will never be an NHLer is wild especially in the same breath say Brady Tkachuk is legit.

They are a couple months apart in age and One who is a bum, out preformed the other, who is legit.

I think Ryan is over paid but honestly if we can keep him from breaking his fingers, i think he could be a serviceable top line winger still, he's liked in the room and the community... nothing wrong with that.

I still think PD has a deal with Karlsson and it just can't be announced until July 1st.

As for free agents, I wouldn't mind Duclair, or some of the others, but I think it's time to give the young guys like White, Formenton, Brown, Etc a chance.

This team still had a great core of Stone, Duchene, Ryan, Karlsson, if we can blend that with the young guys coming up and maybe make a few moved.... We could have good team.

Outside of Rasmussen, not sure if there is much to love from the Detroit 2017 picks. Rasmussen is the best prospect out of both groups, I'll give you that.
As for the Ottawa picks, all three listed appear to be very close to ready to join the NHL.

Some may have said that, but Bowers is a good player, I for one hated seeing him go. But Sens have other prospects who can and have replaced him.

Maybe, if a trade goes down then I likely will be because I have little to no faith PD can get a good trade done.

However if you watch his interview at the draft, He was almost laughing with confidence about the Karlsson situation.... There is something they are hiding for sure.

Literally days before he got traded spazzo was talking about how he was an excellent prospect that'll help the Sens for a decade.

I've said before, Bowers is a good player and if going to be a good NHLer. That was obviously a while ago, but I remember saying it was okay for the Sens to let him go because they have other prospects to focus on.

2017 draft they went size over skill which was a mistake. Lindstrom and Kotkansalo have outside shots at the NHL. The others will be AHLers at best.

Batherson. sure. But again D+1 year production in the Q is not too amazing.

Just as a completely random reference Darren Helm was over a point per game in the WHL his D+1 year.

Ty Lewis who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Avs put up a 100 point season in is D+1 year. Hes going to straight to the AHL and you wonder what the kid can do but him being some legit NHL talent, who the hell knows, guess is he wont be unless he becomes the next tyler johnson

every team has so many prospects that are all too similar yet every teams fan base think they are all going to be legit. Last time I checked the league wasnt filled with unreal talent from top to bottom on every roster. Guys will flame out more often than not
