For all the hoopla about the NHL being "faster than ever"...Washington, a team that was not particularly fast, won the cup without much effort against a Vegas team that flew up and down the ice.

They weren't Vegas fast...they weren't Pittsburgh fast...they weren't Jets fast. But they were still able to win.

Yes...they were a quick team...but they didn't have to win a track meet in order to do it contrary to everyone's present NHL darlings.

he also had the ability to put puck in net in shootout.. somethign this team sucked at.. but it didn't matter because for some reason we never put a goalie in the net when the other team shot.. odd strategy

That Preds game was a gutsy win. God Damn I wish we could have had that kind of effort every game. Hell, even every other game would have made us a bubble team.
