He's shown he can be good possession center even with less than stellar wings, and that he can get 20 points with extremely limited ice time, and that he can be an effective PKer with the speed to disrupt the opposition's powerplay. He also probably has the best wrist shot on the team.

Would like to see him get a chance on PP #2
Agree about his shot, it’s a mystery why Laughts didn’t get much PP time

Best wrist shot that hits the glass, or the opposing goaltenders’ logo. I don’t dislike the guy, I just don’t see decent 3c.

I'm big on Carter Hart's bandwagon already but the more I read about him, the more I am impressed. I think he checks all of the boxes in terms of the make up of a successful NHL goalie but i saw a post from a family in Washington that was distraught over him leaving for Philly. That says a lot. Of course, he could have been sleeping with the mom, but she seemed more upset because he was so nice to the kids. Took the time to talk to the fans.

Yes he's very fan (kid) friendly. Last season after every session he'd stand at the side of the bleachers signing for kids.

Can't say about adults because not many went over there.

Because Flip and Lehtera and Manning and Leier after 2 month scratches......

I'm more worried about Sanheim getting regular PP time on a 2nd unit that was actually negative on the season, but Laughton's shot would definitely have played well there. They didn't give him a lick of PP time in the AHL the previous season. I think they wanted to condition him to not expect scoring usage and just be a grinding bottom 6 player first and foremost. It couldn't have hurt to try Laughton on PP2, but the Flyers are about floors and low expectations. There was very clearly some meat on the bone for his minutes. Not to mention they took him off the top two PK units despite drastically outperforming the Finnish Disasters.

I know for a fact Lou Lamorrerelrllaoo has a coffin he travels around in. His meeting with Tavares in Los Angeles this week was actually inside his coffin.

So Hextall wanted in on JT just not for the length of the deal maybe?

Would probably sign with the Islanders if I spent a few hours in Lou's coffin.

Would make me even more eager to sign tbh.

Not only that, but it's a team mandate that you drink at least 4 pints of blood every day.

I should have practiced more.

I don't think Tavares considered any Metro teams. If Hextall said he wanted in then he must have been prepared to go to 7 years. He gave Voracek 8, and JT is is a similar age.

Pro Hockey Rumors has an article today which lists the top 50 UFA’s with predictions on where they will sign and for how much. None are predicted to be signed by the Flyers.
- Djapana

The easiest decision in the world was to fire the guy running this dumpster fire of a PK. They couldn't get that right. Can't do it because he blocked a shot with his face years ago.

Why would you expect anything in FA come Sunday from a regime that gave Dale Weise a 4 year contract? My prediction is no difference maker is added to the roster, and the cavalcade of spin doctors say, well this isn't the time to add in FA since they aren't Cup contenders....

I know a lot of people think they are cup contenders in 2019-2020... Who is the goaltender then?

This. There is no reason the rangers shouldn’t have had interest in him also. A player like this hits the market, everyone should have interest. Elite players don’t screw your cap. Tavares I think has the decency to not leave his team for a rival one
