Thats Bull...everyone was surprised, not a fan of White one way or other but Tim Murray getting fired was a surprise to most.
- sabreswarpath

No. No, it wasn't. He had no direction. He had no answers for Pegula. He made terrible trades and signings. His firing was not a surprise and he hinted at it at the end of year presser.

The Sabres are asking a lot for Ryan O’Reilly and lots of teams are not interested to pay the asking price

Man, I love Dahlin, and couldn’t be more excited for him, but adding Conor Sheary and Carter Hutton is an epic fail of an offseason.

It’s unreal some people want this roster. So bizarre.

Doesn’t even have to be O’Reilly going.

They need big changes. Yesterday

I'm excited. Our center depth is excellent. Watching Mittelstadt and Dahlin will be fun. Goaltending and defense will be better. Erod and Sheary are solid middle-9 options. We still need an elite winger, but it will be fun to watch these guys grow together

I would go

ROR-Eichel-Okposo
Sheary-Mitts-Reinhart
Wilson-Erod-Baptiste
Girgs-Oregan-Pommer

Can someone explain the roster bonus for ROR? Can Sabres agree to pay it today and then trade him or do we have to wait til tomorrow? Maybe things change tomorrow if that’s the new deadline now.

If I recall there are ample reports out there that ROR does not want to play wing. I also think he wouldn't be too crazy with the idea of riding shotgun with Eichel.

There aren't any written reports about that. He's played wing in Buffalo and in the WCs. That's just a hockeybuzz talking point

Correct. It was the same thing back in Colorado. He wanted the first line pivot. He wants to play center, he wants to be the guy.

They have until 12 tonight before the bonus is due according to McKenzie tweets this morning.

I don't blame him for wanting that either. He's just had the unfortunate luck of ending up on teams where that position isn't available....

But oh boy would the Islanders love to give him that chance now....they are going to be AWFUL!!! Although I think Uncle Lou is stealth tanking for Hughes.

I don’t even know if that’s 25th. 25th is 15 more wins. I don’t see 15 wins over last year in that group.
