That whole second and third round sucked that year for every team. After the Cornell pick it looks like 3 players in the rest of 2nd or third round made it. Montour, point and maybe daugherty

Did he really “waste” three years of Eichel? He only had one draft after that. not to mention in order to get Eichel we were the worst team in the league.

I know there were a lot of homers on here thinking we could make the playoffs soon after but realistically anyone with half a brain knew this would take a while.

I’ll give the defense went down, but how much is Myers or pysek or McNabb really helping us. Those are bottom pair defensemen. the Nylander pick looks bad over a D but I would argue that winger was and still is as big as a need as D.

He sucked as a GM but we also had a lot of sucky players. Don’t think any GM would of turned it around quick. And now looking at the Winnipeg and avs trade I would take what is remaining on our sides both times.

And also to clarify. Murray sucks so this isn’t misinterpreted . He wasted Lehner pick and squandered too many 2nds

If we hadn’t gotten Dahlin, we’d still be in rough shape

I still don’t know to this day why we needed to include two 2nds in that trade. McNabb is an ok defensemen on his own, shouldn’t of had to add.

That was my biggest deal with Murray, the picks he added in trades and squandered could of been used to get someone decent maybe.
