Armia couldn’t score 43 across a full season if he had an empty net every game

I know Dano could 😀

A little outside the box but Ryan O’Reiley at 3 years younger over Stastny interests me a lot. I know expensive but a hell of a 2-way player, motivated from sick of losing. If $ made sense he would be a beast here

I dont like his cap hit or the reported cost to acquire him. I am really excited about Roslovic and don’t want to see him get buried or forced to play wing

Amazing, De Leo was considered a "can't miss" prospect at one point. Just goes to show that drafting is not an exact science.

I get that but O’Reiley sure would look good here. Someone getting a heck of a player.
I predict Jets have 3 or 4 new faces for opening night roster at this point.
Dano and Petan will not be part of the lineup.
Still would like an element of grit added!

O'Reilley is a great player and an awesome asset but just too expensive for our market cap. A guy I would love to see in a Jets uniform and more in line with salary but still possible too expensive is Matt Calvert. Skilled with grit and leadership.

I'd like to see the Jets fulfill their destiny finally and win the Cup this coming season.

Year after that, another cup in Montreal.

I disagree, I dont remember any fourth rounder in the history of the NHl being labelled “can’t miss”. Unless that was said about him at age 14 or something?

Where do you stand on Lemieux then if you are hoping for grit? I’m still optimistic he can carve out a role on our fourth line

I’d be ok with this at the right price and term but someone will probably over pay

Wants grit, but counts out Dano immediately. You do know physical play on its own makes a player a liability, and not an asset, right?

He’s not smart enough to make it full time. He has a shot, but the rest of his game isn’t there. The constant bad penalties will take him out of camp contention long before he has a chance to prove me wrong, unfortunately

Calvert is a 28 year old Hendricks glue type guy that gives his heart and soul. He would be an awesome replacement for Hendricks and much much better. He has a very high "hockey IQ" as well. Perfect fit for Jets on a third line role.

Unfortunately it hard to pay a guy $3.5 MM+ for a bottom two line role. However, if we got rid of Little it would be a nice upgrade while saving some money at the same time.

Lemieux I like but worried about temper and dumb penalties.

Can we close the book on the ever intimidating Dano. You know Tom Wilson happy when Dano is in the press box.

Would like a mean D-man but so hard to find. Is Orpik worth a look? Not sure.

I still want us to part with another D to give Poolman and Niku best shot at playing so I’d rather not acquire a D. Just my opinion

Hope not!!! 3 years at 5.5 makes the most sense.

I dunno Ross da Boss, that may be Bozak money and term.

Once the Leafs land JT at 12per, I can't see Stastny taking half that.

So if his number is North of 6, would you guys prefer Chevy tell him to take a lap? He is a great fit. Tough call.

Any contract north of 9 will severely handicap these teams giving them out. I’d pay Stastny slightly north of 6 on a two year deal. If someone wants to give him 6.5 for 5 years let them make that mistake. I sincerely hope we walk away. I for one think Roslovic is ready now for our 2nd line Center spot.

And I get wanting JT but how can Leafs compete if JT, Mathews, Marner and nylander all get close to what’s being reported? Won’t be easy to fill out the rest of the team. Fun to watch those guys but no guarantee for success.

I really liked that kid (from the limited amount of time I've seen him) he looks like a player.

So you would have him on 2 instead of putting Little there and expecting a better season? I find it difficult to get a read on Littles best fit. Seems like an expensive 3.

I think it’s important to let him grow as a Center and play it all year so by playoffs he’s much better suited for the role than at the beginning. Little will be moved to the wing at some point, maybe not this year but long before his current contract is up.

Orpik isn’t worth a look at all. We should be sending out one of Myers or Kulikov, not shopping.

Also, Dano is a pest, not a goon. We don’t need a fighter, we need a penalty magnet.

As much as I want JT the thought of trying to backfill around all the players mentioned is concerning.

Kyle Wellwood will be playing 4C

I would love Wellwood returning to Toronto
