True not with the Jets and especially with Maurice coaching the team. In Montreal, he will have the opportunity to play in their top 6. Excited to see what Armia does with more ice time. - TheUltimateJet
This I agree with. I hope he works well for them. |

Bonafide top line centre. He’s right behind Scheifele and Couturier. |

Only if Byfuglien or Myers is the guy going across. |

Sorry Ultimate, I'd like to see him WPG, but I think Dubas pulls off the deal for EK in the next day or two. |

Without a major trade EK is not in the cards for the Leafs. My bet would be Vegas who have loads of cap space, draft picks, as well as being a contender.

Its doubtful, but it would take a trade of Myers, Kulikov for the required cap space, and Roslovic or Vesalainen as the prospect, plus a pick or two and both EK and Myers signing deals.
He's going to Vegas though.

I’m into the idea, too. It’s never a bad move to get the standalone best player at his position in the world |

It takes a real village idiot to call someone wrong when that same person making the accusation is wrong just about 100% of the time.... and the opening lineup is still months from being decided. |

Are we not on Karlsson’s no trade list? I assumed we are so it’s not worth even mentioning if he won’t come here. I’d rather hope whatever teams miss out on him panic and over spend on Myers 😏 |

A: Quit being petty. It’s not funny, and makes you look childish.
B: I’m wrong maybe 30% if the time. Maybe 10% of the 30% has evidence of my wrongness. For example:
Evidenced Wrong: Tavares stays in New York
Wrong: Postma=NHL player
C: Chevy straight up said Petan would be in the NHL next season

Wrong: Hutch was a waiver claim and Boston did not move on from him. |

When it’s accompanied by comments about how he’s never had a fair shot, and hasn’t yet played with good players, I assume he means what he’s saying |

Why would a GM say anything negative ? It's in his best interests to keep Petan's value as high as possible.
I'd love to see Petan live up to his potential with the Jets. I just don't see it happening.

He’s alreay done it. Just needs a place in the lineup. |

Jets signing 2017 rd 7 # 198 draft pick Skyler McKenzie is interesting in that he seems to bear some similarities to Petan in terms of size at 5 09, 170 ish, both played for Portland, prolific in scoring but Petan taken rd 2 #43 in 2013. Petan was more prolific in points in Portland.
Petan is 23 and Mckenzie is 20, so I wonder if this signing will help propel Petan to the big club or in a trade as his AHL replacement will start his pro career soon.
Portland stats
Petan - 252 games, 110 G, 248 A, TL 358pts
McKenzie - 282 games, 101 G, 111 A, TL 212 pts.
Just fyi info |

Let’s start this conversation; captain Wheeler. Someone on twitter posted they thought Wheeler’s next deal would be 8+ per year??? First off, I hope we all agree that we under no circumstances can give Wheeler 8+!!!
Secondly, I realize I have more faith in Roslovic than others but does this look that horrible?
Ehlers shief laine
Connor Roslovic little
copp Lowry Tanev
Vesalainen Petan dano.
Also, we would have cap space to acquire someone better than Tanev and Dano for sure!!
I think if wheeler will not re sign this summer for something like 6.5 x 4 years, we trade him for a top notch prospect and high pick now rather than lose him for nothing. I think he will price himself out of Winnipeg and I’d rather move him now and get something.
The core of this team is shief, Laine, connor, ehlers, Morrisey Helle and Trouba. Lock them all up and move forward with them. |
