Little keeps trending downwards.......possibly because he is no longer the 1st line center.....possibly due to some injury issues......possibly due to not really being able to mesh with Ehlers and Laine.....possibly due to not being on the 1st PP unit.
This team would miss Little considerably. Are you going to count on Schiefele to win faceoffs ?
The only issue that I have with Little is his contract. The man can still play hockey. |

Dude, I am just tired of this 21 yr old kid cluttering up this board with all his statements which almost always are in "absolutes' and highly biased opinions and cherry-picked analysis, most of which are complete BS. I think Benny and a few others are tired of it too. When Rexy starts cleaning up his act and giving proper unbiased opinions instead of all this constant BS then I will lay off him. - jetsnation
you are correct that Rexy speaks in hyperbole and absolutes and with absolute faith in particular statistics he sees as critical to understanding hockey.
I like that Rexy tries to back up what he says with "empirical" evidence. Most believe that adjustments can be made through coaching and role assignment/acceptance that change a player's fortunes and place on a team. Most believe that personal situations, past/persistent injuries and chemistry impacts individual performance (and hence, stats). These fluid parts of hockey and team sports are 'generally' but not 'empirically' dismissed by Rexy and Rexy makes his judgements about a player's ability with enthusiasm.
My point is that we all know Rexy by now and that liverpool, our american friend has a point. The two of you have been bickering incessantly and inadvertently becoming the perfect foil for each other. Polarized debates need to continually reached for the middle ground to find solutions.
Rexy is more than capable of defending himself, however, there is more personal attack coming from your side and I am hoping (with liverpool) that a new way of responding to outrageous Rexy statements is found. |

Maybe we need meet and greet at the tavern downtown one night, it might make it harder to rip someone personally after or it could be an utter disaster? Either way there would be booze, food and good banter, what could go wrong? Lol

Hmmm. I'm trying to figure out how a discussion about the best tasting beer would play out...
jetsnation: "Bud is the best seller, it must be the best tasting brand"
Rexy: "taste is irrelevant, (insert brand here) uses the best hops in the world and is therefore the ultimate glorious elite of beers"

I’m down. We either all fight hilariously, or immediately like all the same things. |

I don’t like beer. At all. Any of it. No use for it.
I’m a vodka or rum guy. Hope that helps |

Little started trending downwards once Wheeler was put on a different line. Both Ladd and Little should be siphoning off a portion of their paychecks to Wheeler for carrying them for so long. |

I am down! Maybe we will get together and create a radio show. We will call it the Fourth Period or Illegal Curve. |

Little and Ladd we’re both good away from Wheeler, but he definitely made them better.
Ladd dropped after his hernia surgery.
Little is just aging out. |

The new way is that I just won't respond at all to his comments (since 90% of them are not really worth responding to anyways....at least in my opinion). I don't have an ignore button so best I can do is just not read his posts. I'm more than happy to just read Peter's articles and the posts from guys who truly know and understand hockey such at McJags, Benny, Ross, 2.0 , Charlie, Ultimate, and a few others I may have missed.
Problem solved! So Rexy you are free to post whatever gibberish and falsehoods you want.
BTW..I now live in Ontario ( maybe the Tavares beer thing tipped you off to that), in Wpg several times a year, watch every game.

Dismissive, discreditive, insulting.
I’m as surprised by this reply as I was when we found out *SPOILER* T’Challa didn’t really die in Black Panther. |

Ha! Coincidentally, my son just bought a house- IN ATLANTA- from a couple who had a Petan Jersey in their closet from the U-18 2012 tournament in the Czech republic. I think it's a sign: Perrault/Roslovic/Petan..... |

Your welcome ! I actually have likely had beer with at least two of posters I mentioned here at some point over the years. St. Paul's connections, alumni meetings, etc. I know some of us post here and elsewhere. That's all I'll say about that.

Thanks Jetsnation. I enjoy reading everyone's posts on here. It would be nice to put faces to people's handles. Just imagining what everyone looks like.
In all sincerity thank you for enjoying my posts. |

Yeah, thought about it, but let him take it to California and never made him an offer. He was from Vancouver....... |

To change things up a bit I'll change to topic to Enstrom.
He has quietly gone un-noticed in the free agent frenzy. No word or rumors about any interest out there. Any guesses as to if he will get signed anywhere, if so then where, how long, and how much ?
I'll begin by saying IMO he WILL get signed for a one year term by a team taking a gamble, $1.75 MM. I'll hazard an educated guess at Ottawa who seem to be in some desperate need for some defensive bodies.

Actually, I've already changed my mind on this. I say he goes back to Sweden with his family and retires. He may get an offer or two but quite frankly at $1.5-$1.75 MM on a one-year term (which is all a guy who plays 13-15 minutes a game for 43 total games will command), its just not worth uprooting his family , buying a new house, etc. He'll call it a day. He's made enough money.
Edit: I also recall he married some Swedish reporter. I imagine she would want to go back as well. Just strenghtens my theory even more. Yeah he's done. |
