He said Tavares would be dumb to come to Toronto because after tax dollars is less than the other teams and since hes an athlete it's all about maximizing income in the short career. Then said hometown nostalgia is dumb too since he isn't maximizing his dollars. He then said if toronto wanted him they'd have to ruin their cap by giving him more than 11 per year.

None of that happened except the hometown dream.
