Will never happen. This is the closest he'll come to that-
- GreatGigInTheSky
True, he has an out cause he always said there was a slight chance he'd sign with us. He just made that chance out to be like 0.000001%.
But he admitted there was a chance, and he'll fall back on that despite poopting on everything Leafs over the last week to tell us all how little chance they really had. |

Oh ya he definitely is lurking in the shadows reading everything. What else does the guy have to do?
Right now I'm just enjoying not seeing his posts. Although, I do some what want to see what his first post will say. Some how he will still try to say he was right... - LeafGuy89

Don't forget to save the picture in Tavares' tweet with him wrapped up in his Maple Leaf blanket, that will drive him nuts. - TrashPanda
I'm sure he will be quoted many many times, with that picture in the near future. |

Didn't say sign one.
Trade, maybe Carolina if reports are true they like and want Kap. Rather make a move and bring someone in and use up a bit of cap space there then sign a forward hoping his production last year won't decline.
Plus don't use it all up then can add at the trade deadline to really stock up for a deeper run. - Roadrunner75
I really don't think cap space is a problem this year. Don't we still have 15+million or so even after Tavares?
We can overspend on Neal and still have money left over.

in reality we need to sign yung bill ny, and we need to make sure we can sign matthews and marner next year
being up against the cap may not be prudent |

$13.7mil. Most of that will go to Nylander. |

My original suggestion was to offer Neal one year at 10 mil.
He would be gone before he was ever a problem.
