I think a change of scenery would do wonders for him. - feetontheair22
I'd be down with Bellows, and Beaulliver. We don't need a "change of scenery" guy. |

Ion, ya know I'm just frustrated. I'm 59 years old and have lived through every sabres season and I don't want to watch pee wee hockey. I am optimistic for the future just not the present. - mhp
M,
I get it, I'm 60 and have done the same...since 1971...kinda missed much of the inaugural season.
Last year was a poop show from top to bottom.
I want a lit of change too, it is hard to pull it off in one off season.
I'm focusing mgg head on the changes coming, realizing there will not be enough...but more coming next season.
I don't expect them to be a playoff team this upcoming season.
I just want to see a fair amount of new kids playing. |

What pisses me off is - sure maybe getting rid of O'Reilly for the big picture (Long term) could be benifitial if you hit on both the prospects & picks you'd be getting (A stretch) but to truly get better and change the pathetic loser culture you need to get rid of your bums. I don't care if you just send them to the AHL like you did with Moulson....
It started with Moulson and Lehner and thankfully finally being rid of Gorges via FA...
But another 2 years of Bogosian another year of Girgensons and Larsson but then they're both RFA's again...
These are the losers who take up spots they shouldn't have and cap room they don't deserve to have access to that need to go. I don't care how you do it. But I would've done it all ready... |

Was thinking same thing they are not trading their first next year , so Lee would be a nice return...40 goal scorer good around net, finisher. Lee and a prospect for ROR.

One for one? Not sure you are getting much more if he is in it. |

Botts inherited an absolute mess...
quality of players, mindset of players, and financially on several players.
It can't be undone in one year...just can't.
That said, he can take a huge step forward by unloading non-productive players...some of which you mentioned.
I agree with getting rid of them and seeing what the younger players can do.

That's all we say, he's rental, he's old, he will want to much, the excuses never stop around here. We didn't move ROR people are pissed, we move him and people are pissed. Unreal you need to be drunk to read this site. |

I think no matter what this current roster is looking at anywhere from 4th worst to 9th worst. So why not put guys in like Smith, Olofsson etc over bums like Girgensons and Larsson. Guhle or Nelson in over Bogosian. Like I said if you can't trade them then put them on waivers like you did with Moulson. If someone wants them for free? Great! If not Rochester just got better! Win win |

I didn't want to move ROR. Unless we were getting Paparanko (Spelling?) I myself was very clear about that. I'm not comfortable trading a guy with tons of term left for a guy with one year left unless an extension can be talked about before the trade is completed. I only want a top 3 defensive defenceman or a top line goal scoring LW with term for ROR or I keep him. |

Lee is only 27. Works for me. 34 and 40 goals last two seasons, which probably makes him untouchable. |

I like Lee but,
Ror didnt have the opportunity to play with JT and barzal
Ror could put up better numbers then Lee under the same circumstances.
Could not definitely |

We move ROR and we are weak up the middle, is Casey ready for number 2 center duties? that's a lot to put on him. |

What is the scenario if we keep ror and the nhl strikes for the whole 2019 season.
We pay him his bonus July 1st 2019
No season,
We pay him his bonus in 2020 on July 1st.
Does he cost the new team 1 million x 2 years plus the last 2 years of his deal?
Not sure how the bonus works
Seams like his value would be higher, the cap would be higher.
Casey proves to be a top center |
