I'm a big fan since he's the third line centre. Sobotka and Berglund led lines can all be matched up against the other teams scoring lines. Gives Eichel and Mittelstadt the majority of the offensive zone starts.

95% of them don't. they play NHL 18 and make fantasy trades and don't really understand reality.

I know I can complain a lot. And I know it sounds like I am here, but zero CHL prospects in the past 2 years tell me something is up. Maybe "avoiding" is the wrong term, but I do think at the very least, it is setting up some sort of mental bias, which could be bad.

So the Pominville deal, ultimately, got us a bunch of players to balance out the roster for the short and long term. But I know this is a problem for you.

I understand his position on players from the CHL having a smaller window to make a contract decision, but it does disturb me a little bit. It's one thing to prefer the college/European route for that reason. It's another thing to avoid the CHL altogether, which Botterill seems to be doing. The CHL is still the best developmental league out there. That should offset at least some of the concern.
