I don't really understand this place, it's like reading through the twilight zone during a fever dream.
The last 3 months here most of the posters have been talking about RoRs issues in the room, how a trade involving him would be fine as long as there was a fair return and Mitts would be protected and would make us better next year and in the future.
Many people were really happy about the price of a 1st, 2nd, and a prospect.
Then yesterday, we make a trade that checks literally every single one of those boxes:
We get the first and second round picks
We get two "third liners" that produced more 5v5 goals each than RoR had last year and who can take some pressure off Mitts.
We get a 20 year old prospect who is better than our lord and savior Alex Nylander.
We got exactly what we needed. We changed the culture at a fair price. We are better next year immediately and the futures will make us better down the road.
All of this happened by trading a player who will be a 3C in 2 years.
And many people here are imploding. - Shadman306
It's a daily exercise to measure the bi-polar tendencies of a few as they challenge and fight their inner emotions and demons on a molecular level.

Well I don’t like the trade now.... but let’s see what the final return actually is before jumping... lol
Let’s face it our center’s going forward are, jack, Casey, aspland, Malone. ROR wasn’t in that equation long term. And I like the potential of that center group a lot.
Short term it makes us worse, but let’s see what the final makeup of this team is before getting excited.

I think it makes us better in the future most certainly.
And this trade makes us better this coming year as well. RoR did not produce 5v5 whatsoever. the "cap dumps" we got back out produce him.
We weren't going to be good next year, RoR wasn't part of the long term plan (choose your reasons)
I doubt you could even turn last years team into a bubble team on Xbox in one off season

Know nothing about him other than he’s very big, and has a good shot, although he’s never scored much. Can the kid skate??? - gordong
He's alight I might have been a little rough because I like fast people but I would say his speed is like sam which is ok but I like fast guys
I think he would be a perfect match for Casey because he's dealt with those type of players before as he was linemates with bellows and those to work great together
