I pretty much knew Parayko was a pipe dream alone.

If they had landed Parayko + Thompson, I’d have been thrilled.

I thought to be honest it was going to be Fabbri + 1st rounder

Food for thought:

After the 2018/19 season - $10.6 million comes off the books - Pommer/Moulson
After the 2019/2020 season - $18.9 million comes off the books - Hunwick, Scandella, Bogo, Wilson, Sheary Sobotka

I think Botts is setting us up to improve this year and next year with us going "all in" after the 19/20 season. If we go from 62 (this year) to 82 to 90 over the next 2 years, I think the fans will see the progress and understand that we don't want to rush it like we did last time with GMTM at the helm. If he could somehow get somebody to take Okposo off our hands by 19/20 - we will be in very good shape with our young guys just starting to hit their stride.

It was from “experts” and team reporters like Strickland who was on WGR & said Kyrou might not be untouchable

Parayko’s name has definitely been out there as a guy they’d consider moving

It's a lot to digest. I'm still not sure where we are. It might be hard to know until the puck drops. A lot of things are positives, Dahlin, Mitts, Hutton, Ullmark. Can the d stay healthy? Can Berglund get 15? Can Mitts get 15-20? How good is Thompson gonna be in the top 6? How will Sheary adjust.

I have no idea, but I am intrigued

Thomas just never seemed realistic to me. Kyrou for RoR felt like we'd be lucky to get 1 for 1. I was hoping for Kostin. I'm open to the idea that they like Thompson more.
