yeah...doesn't look like much, does it?
however, goaltending will play a big part, imo, as well as the defense in front of hutton/Ullmark...other things as well. - Michael Pachla
I think it looks better than it has in a while. (But I'm worn down by years of battling all the wet blankets.)
Also, I chuckled to see how many former Sabres are currently labelled as "the best of the rest." https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/1564057 |

It would suck if Hutton was not good at all and it was just the defense he was in front of
Ugh : happy thoughts : |

I think there are moves still to be made to allow for the team to compete this season. But having Eichel and Mitts as your top 2 Centres for the next 10 years is going to be deadly. 3 first round picks next year to add to the depth of the organization is fantastic. Guys like Asplund, Oloffsson, Pu, Pilut, Guhle, Nylander (if he can turn it around) is a nice luxury for the organization to have. Hutton mentoring Ullmark is good. Dahlin and Risto could be the best defense pair in the Atlantic division in short time. |

I like Simmonds but he’s up in age and the contract he will get will not be worth it and his body could Break down in 2 years and then we have a decline with a contract with over $7 million - gerbe75pts
he has a year left on his contract at just under $4m |

you may be on to something...that said, what's to prevent this group of forwards from helping out an improved (however slightly) d-corps? |

"The excitement of 2012-13 was erased by the NHL lockout, and then O’Reilly’s holdout as an RFA. The Avs played the first 19 games without him, going 8-8-3. With O’Reilly — after Colorado matched Calgary’s sensational RFA offer sheet — the Avs went 8-17-4 to finish the 48-game season 16-25-7 (16-32)." |

Yes but we would have to re-sign him for 7m is my guess Great player but I think players like him start to decline at age 30 and so on
I don’t wanna be stuck with a contract like that |

That sh1t wagon from 2:30 AM that came in and blasted Pach in superior troll fashion already won today's prize. I suspect you'll be "Employee" of the Month, the first time receiving such a title. |

I just thought it would be a fit.
Everyone wants something for nothing. Flyers would like a 3rd line center. I think Girgenson could use a change and i like his size. Plus I like he can move to wing once other Flyers center prospects are ready.
I would probbaly be up to take Bogosian off your hands but I would want a 1st rounder.
No matter the deal Buffalo is getting the best player in it. |

You have to work in order to be “Employee” of the month. Only thing he’s worked at is spending his dads money. |

We don't really need anyone taking contracts off our hands. Except Okposo. By the time Dahlin and Mittelstatd need to be paid, Pommer, Moulson, Sobotka, Bogosian will all be wiped away. |

I'd do it and send a prospect your way as well...with only one year left on his deal, wouldn't send too much for Simmonds |

I mean he was on a contract that Paid him Way less than he was worth
If Kane got 7m Wayne Simmons will easily get that |

I'm going to try to make a deal here. You didn't really answer my question about the voids you need to fill, so it might be tough.
Girgensons
Baptiste
3rd 2019
Simmonds
If he agrees to extension for under 5M for 4 years, I would turn the 3rd to a 2nd and swap McCabe for Baptiste. Any more money or term would be seen as negative value to the Sabres, and would decrease the value of an offer. |

if he gets that, good for him...methinks he'll be $6m tops, dependent upon term |
