What's significantly more expensive in Canada? Gas?
Housing? Depends where you live, if you're in a metropolitan city, the housing is gonna be just as pricey

As a Canadian living in the US, just the ones that come to mind:
Gas. Groceries. Alcohol. Tobacco. Elecrticity. Clothing. Cars.. most other consumer goods for that matter. Average real estate is slightly higher in Calgary than Vegas.
Health insurance is not cheaper, but is provided by the employer-team.
Either way, none of these things probably matter to a millionaire. He probably made his decision because of the term offered.
