Armia said he'd like a more offensive role in Montreal. I'd give him a shot, see what he can do. - BashCH
Well, it's not like they have many options. |

Source: "Pacioretty Deal Coming. 100%"
Good morning. Expecting a VERY busy one today. Reporting anything with a 100% attached to it is not something I enjoy. Nothing in hockey (or life) is 100%. But that is what a longtime trusted source told me about Pacioretty. It's 100% and it is coming...Florida remains the leading candidate, but Tampa and Nashville are also involved.

Let's do a trade with Calgary. They signed Neal but still, they could use Pacioretty to elevate to the next level.
All we ask is Bennett OR Jankowski (both play center) and Valimaki in exchange for Paciorrety and Hudon. |

I love the mental image of PK waiting for him in the locker room with the gettoblaster ready. As soon as he steps in the room PK blasts Still DRE |

Yea something like that!
I hope Rychel cracks the lineup, also hoping Scherbak gets better linemates than Shaw and DLR... Shaw and Byron will miss the first 4-6 weeks of the season right?

Getting tired of this media-blaming B.S. Athletes can and will play in tough cities - for a contender. The proof is in the pudding with Tavares. Statsny was not coming in MTL to be #1 centerman of a flailing team - not for $6 mil per year. The fault is entirely on the management.
Bergevin came in place with a relatively solid group of young players in place. He's been here for enough year to see results, and the results are stagnant at best, negative at worse. Blaming the players for last season's debacle is just not going to solve the center line issues, the lack of depth and scoring and the Left flank gaping hole (caused by his management of assets and his staff lack of development, BTW).
Bergevin last 4 years, and I include this summer, have been underwhelming at best. His habit of getting bargain basement deals and ''low-cost/high-reward'' signing has sent the message through the league. He's wasted away three most productive years of his stars. The way he's dealt with players, especially veterans of a certain status during negotiation, has reinforced this. For instance, it would be easy to come up clear in Max's situation - but cryptic messages after cryptic messages do not help.
As of date, he is still using the same pattern as the last few summers, less the cosmetic changes of staff. Trading your most dangerous offensive weapon for a lesser player is not going to reinforce your firepower. Shopping your best scorer as he is doing right now, at the worse possible time (less than one year contract) is not going to provide you a good return. |

I watched the start last season, then stopped.
They need to trade Pacioretty at some point. Get something for Byron. Too bad he will miss the start of the season. |
