My main problem with just doing anything to get a star winger is that we are at best a fringe playoff team. TB is a top cup favorite, totally different.

I want them to get some star players for sure, just not sure the time is right just yet.

Botterill put together a new team, basically. Either they're surprisingly decent, or we're in the top-10 next year and we're picking up a top winger. Centers and d men usually go before wingers, so even if we pick 8-10, we'd get a good one

I like the player too, but to make it sound like they don't appreciate him is a little sour. They offered him $10m per season. I know he is worth more (IMO), but they don't appreciate him cause they are rebuilding or dont offer him more money? Because their owner wanted to dump a lot of salary?

You get jack his partner for the rest of his contract, otherwise we arent maximizing the contract we gave him.

I do think he is a star winger, this is always assuming that he would sign an extension here, but I think we should go after a start winger too, just not sure we have what they want for him that we would be willing to give up.

Hard to say, have to see what the Jackets need. Obviously a replacement for Panarin but what else is ? McCabe, Guhle, ???
