Offer sheets could f*ck up their salary structure though, and keep them from filling out the roster with quality players

If we know they are going to match any offer sheets for them, get the kids to sign 4 year deals. Have them reach UFA sooner and T.O. gets screwed in the end either way. They've created a cap time bomb, that WILL go off either next season or 3-4 down the road. I see them being the future Black Hawks in that they will almost assuredly have some good players, but no supporting cast because of their contracts.
