Do i win anything for predicting Team Martin wins the 3 on 3 championship?
Also, keep Risto. We have no depth at right D at all. Unless the plan is to play all left-handed D.
Happy 4th to my American cousins. When singing your national anthem today, just remember it was the Brits who burned down the White House back in 1814, not us donut eating and beer swilling Canadians. |

1st and B prospect for zucker - sabresfan69
I’m at the point keep all the picks and keep building
Just leave the roster as is maybe trade one of D for a winger that could be a top 6 winger
But that’s it |

Risto better not be on the move.
After the last go around with Murray, I'd rather just keep the 3 1st round picks this time. Lets do the rebuild right. - Mentalorgasm5
Slight difference this time is with Eichel being a veteran at this point and us already having Dahlin, Guhle, and Ristolainen, were a lot closer now than in 2015.
Adding a big peice like Skinner, Pacioretty makes sense.
I would use one of the 1sts+ McCabe or someone else to get a winger, and use the other picks at the draft |

I thought for sure jcrag would be here to gush about the article already. Pachla could type just his name as the blog and still get a " good write up" from the guy. |

If adding a piece such as Pac or Skinner makes sense, then trading away Kane didnt. Rather see where the 3 picks falls next year and take BPA. |

I would go after Zucker he is younger. 1st plus b prospect might get it done. Has speed, good hands and defensively responsible |

I agree with this, unless there’s other wingers available I would rather take this slow.
We should already see some more exciting hockey next year as it is.
We do however have too many contracts right now so we will see what happens |

Those picks will be used towards a NHL player we need now or very soon. Picks may or may not work out and they also won't be seen until 2021 at the earliest or so if they work out. |

Well, Skinner is better than Kane. And we kind of know why Kane wasn’t going to be extended here. A. He didn’t want to B. The Pegula’s didn’t want him.
I’m fine with loading up on prospects, but I think they will try and add a winger or Top 4 RD within a year |

As a relatively small risk, try it out type deal, I would like to see GMJB go after Anthony Duclair. He's a UFA and wouldn't cost any futures. Should be able to get him for $1 - 1.25m per season for a two year show me contract.
We need some more help on the wing, and Duclair still has plenty of speed which is what we are looking for. such a small contract would be painless and we would be able to see if there is chemistry.
I am still not sold on Nylander and am hoping another year in Rochester does the trick. Worst case, we re-sign Bailey or Baptiste and platoon they up here until one proves they shouldn't be sent back.
I believe that this team will make a definite improvement over last year, its just time to let them gel and work together to develop. I like the idea of Hutton and Ulmark as our tenders and think that the Defense will be better in front of them. |

Was talk of Pacioretty but that has seem to just disappear, very strange. Skinner is another strange one, he seems to have vetoed a trade to a couple teams now. IMO I would go get Panarin but I don't think we have enough to get him.
I think he's going hold out for now and see how the new guys work out. |

Has anyone found out for sure that we can even trade one of these conditional picks?
I also wonder if McCabe + a conditional 1st can even get us the kind of player we need at this point. I get the feeling that Skinner wouldn't waive for us.

We have " Duclair" in Bailey and Bapatiste. Very similar players, all 3 seem lost.

I would bet we’d need to add, or replace McCabe with a more enticing peice for Skinner.
I mean, I have 0 clue what it would actually take, but he’d be my #1 target.
He won’t be 27 until after next season. |

I wouldn't pay that much for Skinner......and I don't want anything to do with Patches on this team (doesn't fit the timeline). |

That deal you mentioned wouldn't work, it would have to be more and we traded away a big chip in ROR. I don't think we have enough, Reinhart, McCabe, Guhle, Pu ? I don't know, something like that or those kind of players. |

I'm still under the impression that we can't trade either conditional first. If we can't, I struggle to put together the pieces to make that kind of move.
