Tired of the "He had No ONE else on the team" crap. Barzal out scored him last year as a rookie with 85 points. Anyone on the Leafs have 70 points? Nope... Lee had 40 goals. Anyone on the leafs have 35 goals? (yeah the guy who just joined the FLyers).

They are a good young team... so were the Isles. He went home b/c his GF got a job there... good for him. I hope he regrets it forever.

Thats how you treat a professional that gave you everything they had while they were there. Yeah it sucks when it happens to you but oh well, life is hard. Get a helmet.

9 years of bad teammates to play with while being severely underpaid. If the isles management didn't get him on an extension he should of been gone at the trade deadline. No one to blame but them.

Stamkos went right up to the wire before resigning with Tampa. And Tampa's on ice AND off ice situation was far and away better than NYI's. They had just come off a SCF run too if I am not mistaken. So if Stamkos could entertain some doubt about resigning then why would anyone think JT would be any different (if not worse). Dont blame the guy for saying the right things....he has to. shame on the ownership group for putting your franchise player in that position and putting him in a pickle.

Until recently i personally believed that Garth Snow and the rest of the NYI ownership/Mgmt team was smarter than Eugene Melnyk and Co. At least the Sens were smart enough to offer Karlsson a contract extension 1 year ahead and as soon as he turned it down - hes off onto the trade block.
