I watched him in actual game action. He has poor acceleration. He looked old and slow out there, thats why he got bumped down to the 4th line. Hope you arent taking an article about a joke competition as he is a good skater Youll see. Good PKer though, and smart player. - Archaic
I love it! Leafs fans have an answer for everything! This, due to the numerous SC’s you’ve won and all the amazing talent assesments you’ve had from former management. Change your screen name to “Speaking from Experience” right now! |

Why would you compare a bottom 6 penalty killer type player to JT? Is your hockey IQ that low? JT will be 28 when the season starts and I am predicting his play will decline rapidly. Why you ask? He is flat out a poor skater and does not play defense. Not even average in the shootouts as well. All parts of his game that cant be fixed at his age. I am just happy we are not locked into that contract. Barzal will show you what and who deserves big money. Lets revisit this after each of the next 4 years. |

I also think the Islanders could be better off without JT in the long run but they should have never have lost him for nothing. I don’t care what he was telling the Islanders.

Wow you are so salty. I was commenting honestly about Komarov. Not even a little trolling. I loved Komarov as a player , but he has declined, sorry for providing perspective. Sounds like you are envious and not interested in talking honestly. Komarov isn't a top line player. Sorry to provide the honesty that you'll see for yourself next year. |

We know...he's a bottom 6 player, who'l play a role, kill penalties, and be a role model. All of our core team are kids, we need character guys, who play the game right. Also, he can help Sorokin come over ( hopefully), and make the transition easier...seeing as he can speak his language and has been over here for a while |

Wonder if Tyler Johnson will be traded now to make cap room for Karlsson. He would be a good fit for Islanders as #2 center. |

Johnson has a NTC 5 million cap hit until 2024-2025 season we have the space to sign him but will he waive his NTC |

If they got Johnson there centers would most likely be ......1.Barzal 2.Johnson 3.Filppula 4. Cizikas. Filppula is a natural center Komarov can play center but is better off as a 3rd line winger but can fill center roll if needed. I think this team is a #2 center an top 4 dman away from being a playoff contender. |
|
|

i like those centers we are a few players away from being a playoff team that you mentioned |

Not yet. Vegas, Dallas and Tampa seem to be the big 3 to acquire his services.
I think the reasons here have been rumors of him being dealt is bc Karlsson has likely agreed to an extension with Tampa ... but that doesn’t mean Ottawa is getting enough via the trade to deal him here yet. Which could be the discrepancy. |

That’s what I heard from scouts too. What they are floored by is his contract. |

Not well, unfortunately. But injuries happen and could be a call-up situation |

What would the isles have to give up to get kucherov if he was leaving |
