What would the isles have to give up to get kucherov if he was leaving
- Hockeyislife

And a 100pt guy last season, to boot.

We are not getting Kucherov. That is absurd.

I would trade Ebs & Lee at deadline and approach Panarin & Skinner in FA ..

What if they say they don't want to be traded?

Moreover... how can the isles do without them. Offense will have it’s hands full to produce as it is.

I like them both. I just hope they can get them to sign an extension.

Wow you are so salty. I was commenting honestly about Komarov. Not even a little trolling. I loved Komarov as a player , but he has declined, sorry for providing perspective. Sounds like you are envious and not interested in talking honestly. Komarov isn't a top line player. Sorry to provide the honesty that you'll see for yourself next year.

You say ur not a troll but I dont recognize your name or recall seeing posts from
you before 7/1. Now you’re critiquing our signings or being condescending. Thanks.

Leo is a depth player who Lou knows, as he was Leo’s GM. He was brought in with MM to add some balls to the locker room, which it was lacking. The country club has lost its’ captain and a real coach has been installed. This team is heading in the right direction and will have a different attitude come October. Lou will get another top forward and a top 4 dman. Tavares is a setback but Barzal is arguably already as good or better than him with a higher ceiling and we have a ton of cap space, a few stud prospects and with Garth gone, the chance to get the best goalie from the khl in Sorokin to seriously consider coming to the big leagues. So, all things considered we’re not really doing that bad and we appreciate you trying to cheer us up.

They will need to get the goals-against down for starters.

And there’s the legit concern of how effective Bailey will be without JT. Career high points this year.... will he play with Barzal?

I’m working on a blog that cites those concerns and reality items on current Team as-is. Should be up Monday or Tuesday (latest).

Offense has options, but Lou didn’t do anyone any favors in his free agent signings to help.

I get the whole LOU evaluation but I do believe that Bailey & Lee def benefitted such bc of JT and think possibly could be a point reduction, so I would def look into possibly moving them for equal players of such.

Wasnt many good options in FA this year, so honestly its bad enuff we already have horrible contracts & not wanting to add more. I questioned his moves but its not earth shattering bad....

Re-signing Hickey for more than one-year was a head-scratcher. Maybe they knew deHaan was doubtful to return but Hickey should really be # 7 on the D depth chart.

I guess with adding Leo, Filpulla, MM & Kuhnhackle, Clutter could be traded(if we retain some $$) Prince was not given a QO, Johnston can go back to BST, Quine signed elsewhere, so... someone has to sit in the press booth each night. Am also very curious about Bellows getting a good look/chance to play. Also, Ho-Sang should be traded(along w/DalColle) or put on a short leash with the big club and given an ultimatum: Grow up and perform or else. Numbers usually dont lie and the team WAS better with him in the lineup. Small sample size but you work with what you have.

With the cap space we have available, we are in fantastic position to take advantage of any opportunity that comes along with any team in cap trouble (cieling or floor).

There are several issues that need to be addressed but for obvious reasons this offseason, I finally believe those issues WILL be properly solved by seasons’ start.

I have a very high ceiling with this upcoming season. I expect the islanders to make the playoffs. If we get decent penalty kill and decent goaltending not only are we a lock to make the playoffs I don't see why we can't go on a run. Losing pajama boy is the best thing that happened to isles. We have almost 20 million in cap and Lee Eberle and Barzal need to be signed. Bellows is waiting for his chance ho sang is to. Going to be interesting this summer into camp

If snow and weight were still here I would not of given the islanders any chance at all to make the playoffs see them in the bottom 5 of the NHL but with Lou and Trotz this will be a much improved team
