2 goals in the playoffs, one hit him on the leg on its way in, the other was a blatant cross check to give himself the room to score. The Pens dumped him in half a season, Toronto was only too happy to send Martin with Uncle Lou. Wilson has skill, but he's a net drag because he's always in the goddamn penalty box.

Yes, because a guy with 2 goals and 2 total points in the playoffs does not have a big effect. Never mind the 59 total points between Ovechkin and Kuznetsov.

It's like saying Tyler Kennedy was crucial to the Pens win in '09 he scored 2 big goals, ok, but if they didn't have him they still would've been there. Would they have won? Maybe, maybe not, but this is where process over results comes into play. Just because a player scores a big goal does not mean he's not expendable. Bad players score big goals all the time.
