Anyone that remembers Richard Pryor would know, if it was a racist movie he wouldn’t have been in it. - SABRES 89
To be fair, a lot of TV shows and movies had those undertones back then (Sanford and Son, All in the Family, Jeffersons), and the plot line that a southern family is "buying" a black person to amuse their spoiled son can't be ignored.
NOW, that being said, the moral of the movie saves it, in that regard, so it's all good, and Richard Pryor was one funny mother(frank)er, and Gerbe should watch his movies. |

You do an offer sheet on a super start like Auston Matthews... A team isn't going to loose a first round/s picks for Sam R. - pwasil7
It would be a 2nd... maybe a 1st and 3rd. For what he is going to make. |

Really disappointed with Nylanders development. It’s come a long away from the scouting community thinking that he would get drafted higher then his brother and be a better player. It’s a shame. But still time I guess. |

What is the biggest knock on Buffalo? They've been bad for so long right?
Well look at it on paper at least
Franchise center (Skinner hasn't had a center as talented as Jack)
Franchise defensemen
Upgraded the goaltending
Improved the depth
A young fast team
Skinner Eichel Reinhart
Sheary Mittelstadt Okposo
Sobotka Berglund Baptiste/Bailey
Wilson Erod Pomminville
Dahlin Risto
Scandella Bogo (for 4 games)
Nelson Guhle
Hutton
Ullmark
As far as his next contract goes, he knows there is financial stability in ownership in Buffalo and that the Pegulas aren't afraid to spend money
If Buffalo can get a top line LWer like Skinner I believe at least on paper they will look much improved.
This lineup doesn't even have Thompson in so forget Bailey/Baptiste and put him there. |

This seems like a pretty optimistic view of the Sabres. They finished dead last. “On paper” is this a playoff team next year? The year after next? It sounds as though many folks considered Kane and ROR to be the biggest problem with the team. But as the lowest scoring team in the league by a wide margin, their points have to be replaced just to get back to square one. I don’t think Berg, Sabots, and player maturation gets there. |

Where were the misspellings and grammatical mistakes?
And which round of the playoffs do the Sabres make it? |

I mean if you look at all the issues with the team last season:
Eichel injury
Reinhart started at center and then was cold until January
Okposo had a summer he wants to forget and didn't start playing normal until March
ROR only scored on the PP
Lehner and Johnson couldn't stop a beach ball
Awful bottom 6
and that's just the tip of the iceberg
I don't think they are a playoff team this coming season but they should be in the mix towards the end of the year |

Ek female doging about all the "Habs hating"......that idiot is as out of touch with reality as the rest of the Canadian media who thinks the habs are making "good moves."
The price contract is arguably the worst in the NHL
Weber can't stay healthy while PK is kicking ass
Galy for Domi was (frank)ing idiotic
They have no 1C
Drafting a center who was rated in the mid to upper teens at 3OA
...the list goes on and on.
That franchise is (frank)ed and anyone who disagrees is a homer or in denial. |

I don't think a lot of people realize that almost all signed CHL players his age (such as Pu) are now about to enter the AHL full time. If Murray was better at his job, he would have let him go the UPL route (CHL or Sweden) for at the very least year 1, if not both years 1 and 2 post draft.
Everyone knew what he was when he was drafted. One dimensional, perimeter player with consistency issues. Some players take longer than other, regardless of their draft status. He just turned 20 a couple months ago. He has 3 years left of ELC.
Let him develop. Let him do his thing. He knows what's on the line, and I'm certain the staff has made that crystal clear. He must show development this year. There are no injury excuses. |
