Eh, we don't know that. League talk is all but dead for at least another month. I don't think it's fair to assume he'd already be here. There's a chance Botts wants to see the guys in training camp before he uses futures to get a guy like Skinner.
- TheSabresTaco

I think the league is in a holding pattern waiting for the Karlsson shoe to drop

"dominoes" is such a (frank)ing load. You want a player, go out and (frank)ing get him.

If Skinner wanted to be here, and if Botts wanted him here, he'd be here already. He probably would have been moved at the draft. Skinner seems incredibly unlikely to me
- jcragcrumple

Unfortunately, this is probably true.

Most recent example, cite the Rorzilla trade. Army and Botts were working on that trade for months.

For the teams allegedly interested in him (Karlsson)

Tampa, Dallas, Vegas

Dallas and Vegas could use a Skinner

If you don't think "dominoes" isn't a real thing in the league IDK what to tell you because teams don't like to make moves until the market is set, or they want to see what cap space they'll have left.

For a team like Buffalo they should go get him

You’re probably right. I’m just not here as much as those you mentioned. The big one I’d like to know from everyone is Eichel; what numbers does he need to produce to make his contract worth it?

So you can't just go out and get someone, sometimes it takes months of talks.

I think Skinner is out of Carolina regardless.

The only thing they have on us is a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers

Rated #8 on the 50 most racist movies...

I have a feeling the author of this list penned it from his safe space... holy (frank)

A good few are legitimate, most are a reach, some are just sad.

I also enjoyed the reference to "reverse racism," as if it's a thing.

I mean, I understand the ROR/Tavares thing for sure.

Dominoes CAN exist, but I'd bet my house on the fact it exists much less than Eklund thinks it does.

You know what these players command. You know the status of your lineups. You know everything about these players on the ice before you even make the phone calls. If one or two teams are chasing Karlsson, I think these GMs start to get a hint real quick as to who has the winning bid and who's on the outside.

Get your guy and don't waste time. There's just so many variables in play, I can't even see a scenario where it's like, well, we'll definitely get winger B if we strike out on defenseman A.

90 is juicy, 82 would be hard for me to be angry about. I wanna see him play 82 so we don’t need to prorate the numbers.

I think for a team like Vegas they would make a run at Karlsson and Skinner

They have the draft picks to make it happen.

I bet we don't see a trade for a few weeks until teams start locking up their RFA's

They're gonna run out pretty quick. 1 or 2 more Tatar moves and they'll have the worst prospect pipeline forr the next 5 years

You cant move two or three years' worth of 1st and 2nd round picks and expect to have a deep prospect pool
