Like I said, not necessarily directed at you, that said, plastic and plastic straws are not good for the environment. IMO the banning of plastic straws in Seattle is a step in the right direction, not really something that should be the butt of jokes. And I totally understand why or how some people will think I am being extreme, but this is where I stand.

It should be the but of a joke when they feel that banning straws is more important then any of the other myriad of issues facing that city

I ran out of tires to burn in my backyard so I had a second child. Just doing my part

I guess it doesn't really matter since this planet will be trashed by the time they hit middle age Hopefully science can find a way to bail us out by then.

I know I have outed myself and most of you probably think I am some left wing elitist douchebag nutjob. That's fine, just stating my beliefs, but I will drop it at this time. I wish you all the best, no hard feelings. I will go back to posting the occasional hockey remark, the occasional sarcastic remark, and lurking.

OMG get on those site developers and tell them to get their asses in to the 21st century!

I feel for you though. I have to deal with lots of testing companies and many of them still haven't updated their testing platforms past Windows Vista.

I wish I could lol! It’s frustrating how behind an agency can be with their technology. Especially when you watch them use their budget for redesigning the office. Working environment > functionality I guess

I actually quite like Slurpees in the summer time.

Little known fact:

Winnipeg is the Slurpee capital of the world

Another little known fact --- Winnipegians hate the environment due to excessive buying of Slurpees

Vulcanized rubber is a real disposal challenge. We need an alternative material for hockey pucks.

Keep doing you.

I'm pretty sure that most of us hear are doing at least a reasonable job of being environmentally responsible.

Trios is a good choice too. Hit up Michael's if you like roast beef. Charlie's for a good local burger joint

I can tell you as someone who works in the environmental field, plastics are a terrible, terrible problem, and are causing major environmental issues. It's typical to say something like, if I don't experience it, it's not a real problem.

This shouldn't be a left vs right thing either, it's happening, it's fact.

It certainly shouldn't be a right or left thing but the whole "If I don't experience it, it's not a real problem." is unfortunately the cornerstone of one of the political parties in this country.

Do you really blame JT for leaving? What a poophole of an organization. He’d basically be the modern day Sundin staying there.

I know there is some angst that he didn’t let his intentions be known sooner but part of me thinks that’s due to wanting to basically choose exactly where he goes.

It’s hard for me to feel bad. Billionaire owners angry at millionaire players.

Right vs left is such a joke. Artificial tribalism to make people believe there is a difference. Two arms of the same monster.

The Earth thinks it's so high and mighty with its protective ozone layer, oxygen-producing trees and other life-sustaining properties.
