I think Vorobyev can handle duties of a 3rd scoring line with good line mates. I don’t think he can be a shutdown center at this point. I actually think he’s not completely ready for 3rd line duty and should be the Phantoms top liner. Could he play in the NHL now? Sure

I think Vecchione is better than given credit for and skating issues...I don’t know. I don’t see them. I’m not trying to act like he’s a great skater, but he is More than okay. I think he can play on a 4th line here.

I don't think either of those players will be effective long term in the NHL. Just my opinion and I want them to develop into useful NHLers. I just don't see the skill level, size or speed in a combination that says more than a sub above the AHL.

I haven't watched enough Phantoms games to comment. What do you see in his game that would lead you to this conclusion about Vorobyev?

The reality is, though, the Islanders might have been the only team involved that could truly guarantee Kovar consistent ice time in the Top 6.

I mean, I read somewhere their 1C went home to reclaim his childhood bedsheets or something.

- johndewar

That's probably the case. Although the Habs Center situation looks just as dire.

I saw someone in Facebook yesterday being completely serious stating the Leafs "traded" Lou for Tavares and it was planned all along.

For some reason I see Vorobyev and Vecc needing to transition to wing to make it in the NHL. Kinda see them as tweeners if they stay at center.

LOL

I know it sounds really simple, but hockey and the boards are my escape from the real world. Certainly, people can talk about whatever they want -- I honestly mean that -- but it's just not my thing on the boards

I came here today, I didn't know what to expect. I seen a lot of people hate straws and I didn't know what to feel about that so I guess they didn't like much nothin' either. During this fight, I've seen a lot of changing, the way you felt about straws, and in the way straws felt about you. In here, there were two guys using straws, but I guess that's better than 20 million. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change!

If you can't change people you can change the plastic. Plastic can be biodegradable. We can pay for the difference in bitcoin.
