Except Hall didn't click with Mcdavid and his ego couldn't coexist with Mcdavid. |

Good read. Not sure I agree with the assessment that Kassian was adequate. He completely wasted so many chances on the rush with McDavid.
McDavid legitimately could have 140 points if the Oilers swung a big deal for Panarin. Nurse, Bouchard, and Khaira for him if Panarin is willing to sign for 5x7 beforehand. - fry
Panarin is going to get either 7 or 8 x 10 or 11. Second of all, I don't think he goes to Edmonton. If the Oil wants him (and I would), you need to move Draisatl. |

Would be wild to see him earn above 10. A bet the final number is 8.5.
Certainly depends on competing offers! I doubt anyone else in the League offers as high of value as Draisatl.. Panarin is being shopped and Draisatl certainly isn't..
Will be interesting to see what he gets if he's traded. I bet he re-signs anyway. |

Rieder and Draisaitl are going to be this centuries version of Himmler and Heydrich.....on ice, playing hockey. |

Gah,
For awhile there you were putting together decent blogs but each new one sees you falling into the everything is Chiarellis fault lame category.
Klefbom was putrid last year especially in the first half, reportedly 100% injury free to start the year. Whether he actually was injured, who knows, but I find it suspicious that as his supposed injuries got worse and his actual play got better during the season as it went on.
Calling Klefbom a #1 period when healthy is one of the silliest things I've ever heard on any hockey blog. He only started playing against top pairing competition the last couple years and outside his one good year was terrible against any kind of real competition.
Klefbom being injury free and playing exceptional hockey are both things that have happened in the vast minority of his career. - Aerchon
But for the most part, it is. He’s hurt forward depth, taken a by step back in talent, handed out numerous bad contracts and thus handcuffed the cap, and continues to take low odds gamble.
Year 8 of a rebuild, year 4 of the best player in the world, and we’re a bubble playoff team and probably worse on paper than several of our biggest rivals.
But yeah, it’s all just poor luck ....
Also- Klefbom is our best dman.
U need to recite both paragraphs a few times and then come back and post when you understand |

Hall clicked with leon. And that’s exactly where we need him.
I still see the “winger for connor” thing everywhere. S’weird. Besides having nuge there already, it’s a star for leon to lean on on the 2nd line that makes us Infinitely tougher to match |

I like Yammamoto's chances this year. Also I think Rieder will get a shot with McDavid at some point. Coach isn't great at keeping players that have Chemistry together. So no guarantee.
Definitely sure that Rieder isn't the best FA signing of the year but he might be the Oilers best which says extremely little. Again I think Chiarelli has proven he can't get the job done and should be fired before its too late and this offseason is completely over. |

I'd want him too, but why the (frank) would Edmonton want to move a 22-year-old (23 in October) centre for a 26-year-old (27 in October) winger? That's just dumb. |
