Not top 90 forwards, top 90 centers.
You have 90 centers listed about him? That's some serious hate, list them.

I think he's down around 77.

Yeah, C, I get it. Do you project that Pettersson will play C? I'd take him over Sutter. I would take Jankowski over Sutter. There are literally 125 centres who played in the league last season who out scored Sutter. Some of them are retiring (H Sedin), some are old (Thornton/Zetterberg), but there are easily 100 current and future C that I would take before Sutter.

In two years gagner and granlund won't be on the team.

Yes, but Beagle/Rousel will, which will put us in exactly the same position...

He's a top 3 Left winger for sure.

In all honesty though, if you sign a one year deal for 1 million, you're probably not worth 3 million.

I'm not sure I would go there, but 90 doesnt seem like a terribly difficult target.

Stop, you're talking crazy. There are only 124 top 4 centers in the nhl, plus call ups and 13th forwards. You're seriously saying that Sutter was the worst player in the NHL to play center last year?

Edit: you must be referring to Bennett, Spizza and Bonino? Who all scored less then Sutter.

The nhl.com list is (frank)ed, lots of wingers on it.
So how about limit the debate to players that actually played center and took more then 200 faceoffs? Because if you took less then that, you're not really a center., are you?

I edited.... but I accept your retraction about 125 better centers. Thank you.

I'd say he's a middling number 3. He played the hardest minutes in the league(behind gaunce) on the worst team, his stat line should be horrible.

Edit:
I answered the wrong person, mistaking a manly 195cm person for a sub 190cm halfling.

In shame, I hang my head.

You are changing the rules. You said, and I qoute, "one of the top 90 cent IN THE WORLD" there are going to be plenty of players who join the NHL this season, who have never played a game, who I am saying are better than Brandon Sutter. There are also players who already play in the league who are better.

Great, i get it, Sutter is on your "all world" team as your number 3 C, I think a team could do better.

Last year when Dorsett was playing Sutter /Dorsett were Canucks best and most productive line.

Canucks are a very talentless (not a real word) team . This summer they fixed the bottom 6 now they need to fix the top 6

- VANTEL

Absolutely agree, this is something that I have been stating long before Desjardins stepped on to the scene. Nuck4U would argue with me constantly on the talentless comment...it's a real word concerning the Canucks for sure.

Everyone has their particular players that they will never give credit to, Sutter has been one of those guys since he joined the Canucks, Bingo and Nucker were relentless in their criticism.

Sutter is a good player for what he brings, I like the 3rd line centre role and he plays it well.

Flame on boys...

BTW..General Manager Jim Benning is a genius, I’m sure no comment will be required.

Does the salary cap not apply to the Lightning?
- LeftCoaster

Doesn’t kick in until next year. Both Kuch and stammer signed discount contracts. McDonough, Hedman, Stamkos, kucherov, serg, Miller and point are the new core. Everyone else is expendable and will be traded if need be.

your hate of Sutter is matched only by your hate of players below 6’. You’re going to get a lot of both, and I’m guessing heart issues the next 3-4 years
