The day after the hearing, on August 2, it was announced that Subban and the Habs had agreed to terms on an eight-year, $72 million contract, running through the 2021β22 season.
The hearing took place on August 1, 2014, with Subban's camp asking for a one-year deal worth $8.5 million, while the Canadiens offered a one-year deal worth $5.5 million.

Are you and nighthawk at the same bar? WTF did I once say an arbitrator awarded a contract? Please show me .This is beyond the point of stupid now
Some idiot brings up mentioning a bridge deal and all the know it all's come a running .
The bridge deal had nothing to do with an 8 year contract and for all the illiterates on here AN ARBITRATOR CAN NOT HAND OUT AN EIGHT YEAR CONTRACT
I did see too - VANTEL
I donβt need a history lesson on Subbans contracts. I know the details. As for arbitration that to i understand. 1-2yrs awarded. You are confused my friend.

That would be devastating, having him signed for 8 more seasons. Only Makita dislikes Stecher more than I do.

This would have been negoiated by the player and team agreed upon afterwards. This had nothing to do with the hearing which states one-year deal. |
