We are the early favourite to be the worst team in the league and I dont think its close.

We will get our #1 center in the upcoming draft. This next draft is absolutely loaded with centers in the top 10.

To me we need to do whatever we can to get a top pair right defenseman. Use all tradeable assets to get that and then use our 1st this year for a center and we are covered everywhere and every position.

Then we just have to wait a couple years for guys to get older and develop.

the reason most of us come back here every day, or second day, is because the people in here have a more in-depth understanding of the Canucks than the average joe who semi-watches or follows. Lets face it, at no disrespect to other fans, but most of the fanbase doesn't care about the salary cap, Utica, any prospects outside of the 1st round, etc. Its nice to come here and talk about all things that people generally can't discuss, cause they don't care enough.

Just stating facts, or my opinion which are my facts lol, the team would have been better off if they just said (frank) it, this team needs to rebuild....but they didn't and they continue to refuse a full rebuild. Thus it looks like a long term plan they're on, which isn't really a plan. You're not rebuilding with less than your seven allotted picks.

The rebuild falls with ownership. The absolutely worst thing was making the playoffs WD's first season instead of selling off any assets that they had at the time. This set them back a few years. Having the Sedins didn't help either right to the end. Their retirement party 6-1-2 cost them a chance at Dahlin. Still makes me sick to my stomach that as bad as we have been the lowest we picked is 5th.

Camp is important but it's more than that, from my experience, a good recent history will buy you a longer look. Gaudette I think deserves a look, same with Juolevi as he took some nice steps last year.

I think it all starts at how ready they are as in condition & the workouts they put in. Top condition & a pros work ethic will show TG they they earned serious consideration.

I would say that's a pretty fair bet, but, when they got their asses handed to them by Calgary Linden and Benning should've insisted on a rebuild. They didn't. They kept pressing. They're just as much at fault.

I give what i believe is proven or earned. Some spots by acclimation. My line-ups are fluid dependent on trades or how big of a youth movement may happen.

For a team as bad as the Canucks I think it's time to see what a few of these kids can can do at the best level, give em some minutes. As I mentioned, I though Gaudette created some good looks at the end of last season and he got better every game.
