I think OJ needs utica time. His back injury doesnt help training. - phyllee
His back injury is fine . It was minor surgery.
I agree that Demko will play on Utica this year and may get called up at TDL |

Canucks have 5 players very close to ready but it would be stupid to bring all five in at the same time .
Demko Dahlen Pettersson Hughes OJ - VANTEL
No need to rush things.
I like the idea of having good veterans to help out younger players. Oilers missed this alot early on in their infinite rebuild.
As long as you are able to free up the space for them when they are ready, it's fine. |

Brad Richardson is the only one so far this year, maybe Brodziak but I think he was pursued.
Other guys who will likely sign for way less $ and term are Letestu, Stajan, Vermette and can provide the same thing. - belcherbd
Any of those guys would have been easily as good or better than Beagle imo. Less term less money same product. |

You draw the line in the sand at Beagle - VANTEL
Give it a couple of hours and Trevor will say otherwise. |

If Benning has a problem of sitting down Gaunce or Granlund then he needs to be slapped |

I agree but I don't even know if it's worth waiting that long. If he can carry his form from last year 1 or 2 months into the season I'd say why not bring him up? I suppose he gets more playing time in the AHL but I'd like to see him getting NHL starts sooner rather than later |

That is why multiple teams were in on Beagle and those guys are still unemployed becasue they are just as good

Again if he is ready Benning should have no problem of switching Nilsson and Demko |

The only thing is even if the return is only a 5th round pick I'd still prefer to trade Nilsson than lose him to waivers |

For our situation. What benefit does Beagle provide to the Canucks that those guys can't? Is he going to help us finish higher in the standings? - NorthNuck
Maybe you should wait a few games to determine that |

Yes there must be a large lineup waiting for the skill set of Nilsson |

Still plays the same role as Beagle and signed for much less.
These guys are usually plentiful and one usually wins the cup every year and gets overrated because of it. |

Amen. Garbage signing but he is a valuable player. It’s annoying when folks can’t separate contract from player. It’s like when idiots say sutter sucks because of his contract |

I'm sure multiple teams were in on Beagle but they didn't pay him 12 million over 4 years with a NTC.
Benning almost always gets his guy, unfortunately those guys for the most part suck. Thank god Lucic refused to play in Vancouver. |

It is not my job to sell anyone on Beagle . Some here will hate the signing , I don't mind it . I will wait at least a month or two to see if he earns his pay check.
I think every move has had it's reason . I like the direction of where the team is going . I think the team answered the toughness with the UFAs and addressed the speed and skill with the draft now it's time to sit and wait |
