I don't really know much about those other two guys but I'm passing on taking dead weight in Callahan unless a legit blue chip piece is coming back.
Flyers have drafted well and not traded away much of anything since Hextall has taken over. There are starting to be log jams in the developmental depth chart. If we make trades at this point I want quality, not quantity. - hereticpride
katchouk/Raddysh are legit blue chip prospects. However, I don’t want any more dead weight contracts with whom Hackstol “trusts”. If there is a trade to made, I want players who can contribute now, and long term. Why waste the best years of your core group to help out a rival?

I'm thinking the plan is Elliott and Lyons. I am hoping it's Elliott and Stolarz personally but with Stolarz missing last year makes it doubtful. I just think he has a higher upside.
Guessing Hextall sees how it plays out in camp but I think Neuvy is a train wreck waiting to happen. - FlyerFan16
The plan as of now is Elliott and Neuvirth, not Lyons.

As much as I don't want Callahan, I'll take Raddysh and a 2nd + a cap dump for Laughton and a 3rd, but they'd have to take Weise at 50%, too. - jmatchett383
Won't happen. The whole point for them is to clear cap space. |

This is what I was saying the other day. I have to be absolutely blown away to help Tampa land Karlsson. If they get Karlsson I honestly don't know how the Flyers (or most teams) are supposed to compete in the East these next few years of G and Jake's prime. Stamkos, Kucherov, Hedman, Karlsson, Sergachev(maybe they have to give him up in a Karlsson deal tho?) & Vasilevsky. That is just beastly. |

Sounds like Detroit might be considering shopping Zetterberg. 3 years left at around 6 mil. Sounds like injuries are a concern.
Not sure if it's even worth kicking the tires on but with our doctor's checking him over and giving a green light I'd throw out an offer of Rubstov and I'd want multiple conditional picks back from Detroit based off how many games Zetterberg plays over the next two seasons. If he holds up, great. If not you get yourself good value on Rubstov in future picks.
Probably not a good idea after typing that all out. Just wondering aloud. |

They better be very good conditional picks. Why would Detroit who needs high picks give them away? Why would we trade Rubtsov for Zetterberg and his 6M cap hit. What is he 38? |

I know Detroit wants some cap space, but a big part of a deal would be some value for taking that space. Sure Zetterberg has had a storied career, but I don't care about his past right now.
If Flyers are trading a valued prospect, I'd rather have Nyquist knowing he has 1 year left and looking for a reasonable extension before Zetts.
EDIT:
Giroux-Couturier-Konecny
JvR-Patrick-Voracek
Lindblom-Nyquist-Simmonds
Weal-Laughton-Raffl
Leier
Vecchione
Trash Bin: Weise, Lehtera
Now that would be sexy...don't look at the goaltenders... |

I would take callahan paired with one their top prospects without hesitation. Tampa may win a 2 cups the next 3 years but will have trouble filling the roster after see Pittsburgh |

Stats, stats, stats...
Kind of like Gilbert Dionne 100+ points. Awesome NHL player. - Glak18
Sure, you're right. Raddysh is already a total bust despite being a top player in the WJC. |

Yeah, just a thought.
The more I think about it it would likely just end up like a Vinny situation. Healthy enough to play but probably too broken down to contribute. |

I wouldn't take a cap dump over 2 years. And it would have to come with a top pick or prospect |

Why do people in society do this? Why is everything The BEST ever or Sucks complete balls?
Like I said, good prospects...NOT bad. Players that score a lot in the CHL ALWAYS become superstars.
Pssst...this past year how many years have they played in juniors. 4 years, makes a big difference. Does that mean they suck, no, but the Flyers already have a bunch of prospects in the same boat and some better. |

That's fine, but you said the only reason they were mentioned were because they played with Frost, while the truth is that, after Foote who would go in an EK deal, they're TB's best prospects, and 2 very highly-regarded ones.
But as you so non-overreactingly implied, I'm sure they'll both be no better than Gilbert Dionne. |
