WAR, absolutely. I think it’s nearly impossible to gauge wins/losses. Goals seem easier to predict/measure.

You're assuming there's a team out there that wants to spend a pick on him. Wilson went for a 5th and is considerably better, and has a cup pedigree. I doubt a team would give a 7th for Larsson

I will concede that the NHL needs to mandate a 3rd jersey that is a bit flashier than the regular Home/Away......but Basketball and Baseball doing the above is just a stupid money grab.

I trust what jbotts is doing, so I'm personally excited for tage. I get excited about prospects, it's the potential thing for me. Optimism i believe

I also liked tmgm for the first year or so.......

Baseball is by far the most boring sport. Pace is a big issue there and they're starting to see attendance/viewership suffer. I heard a stat that it takes about 3m 40s on average, for a ball to be put in play during the game outside of the pitcher and catcher. No idea if that's true, just heard on the radio, but sounds about right.

I do wish the NHL did more "fun" stuff. The All Star game for starters...mandatory Ice Girls could be the other.

They'd have to clear waivers. As you said, with bad camps, there's more. Those are just the obvious.

I think some assume that he will just dump Girgs or Larsson through waivers though
I don’t see that happening
Botts signed them to TWO YEAR DEALS for a reason
And he QUALIFIED Bailey & Baptiste,
so i think it’s reasonable to assume he doesn’t want to lose them for nothing either

Thompson can be sent down without having to clear waivers
And Botts is HUGE on developing players in the AHL

We will see what happens...
but counting Thompson, we have 15 NHL forwards
Eichel, Mittelstadt, Okposo, Sheary, Reinhart, Berglund, Sobatka, Rodrigues, Pominville, Wilson, Larsson, Girgensons, Bailey, Baptiste... and Thompson

I think it's fun. No one is saying anyone has to buy the jerseys. I think a st. Patrick's jersey or a Christmas one would be cool, and any argument against it because it would taint the legacy or something doesn't float with me, because ads are coming.

I just don't understand why players can't do fun stuff. The NHL wouldn't even let Robin Lehner change his jersey number for a game to honor the cop who died. No jewelry on players, no tinted visors, no tucked jerseys. They do everything possible to suck the individuality out of the game

He's one of the worst players on the worst team. Maybe, maybe someone would claim him off waivers but I don't think there's a team that does Larsson for a pick
