I EXPECT 20-25 goals and the same amount of assists. So 40-50 points. - MBFlyerfan
I'd be very happy with that from him this season. I hope he doesn't get shuffled around and ol hak gives him a chance to build chemistry with his line. It a not good for a young guy to bounce around the line up like that. Give TK some consistency and the same line. He deserves it
If TK pots 28 goals this season I will be ecstatic with his development. I hope hak gives him a longer leash and leave his surrounded by talent. Thats where he will thrive.

LW or C, Giroux was gonna score a buttload of points last season regardless.
Not like his positioning in the ozone is any different if he starts the shift in the middle or on the wing anyway -- he's always gonna be somewhere in the left-circle/left-wall, and the big body on the line will be parked in front of the net.
It lightened his load a bit defensively, but not to the degree where it enabled his 100pt season or anything.
If he's healthy, and not saddled with any mediocre talent, I think he'll score a ton next season at C, or at LW. It shouldn't really matter. If the team is deeper with him the middle, so be it. - Tomahawk
Agreed, but the line was much more successful due to the fact Giroux could take a faceoff, maybe jump a bit to get an edge and still have Coot to jump in the dot or vice versus. People keep saying Giroux played LW, semantics I guess, but in reality he also played C. The X factor was Giroux with Couturier that built that line. Separating the success the two had would be amateur.

When coots has his superstar night and had 5 points was G on his wing?

IIRC for the most part he was on the the 1st or 2nd lines for most of the season.
Towards the end of the year he was a pretty good driver of possession and I think the coaching staff felt that maybe he could lift the 3rd line up with him.
IMO he is a player who can carry a line. For example, put him with Laughton and Simmonds and I still think he produces.
But Ideally he is the RW with Couturier and Giroux.

I'd love to see him on the top line. That gives us jvr-patrick-and jake and that's a pretty nice second line as well.
But I'm with you. TK deserves top minutes with those two. The raffl on the top line experiment has been tried and failed so many times already. Just let TK settle in and score some goals and get under the skin of the other teams star players.
In terms of improving the PK, the best hope right now is to further cut the number of penalties taken and reduce the PPGAs that way. I don't think the percentage killed will surge much with pretty much everything staying the same, except for Filppula's departure. - bmeltzer
I think that getting rid of Lappy as the PK coach will help, too. Lappy was a warrior on the ice and I appreciate the Flyers making him a coach, but the PK has declined the last few years and it's time to move on.
LOL, saw them live in NYC in I think 1977. Funny as poop. They did that skit. We're in and out of the audience, were up in the balcony. It was hysterical mayhem

The player has to earn that longer leash. When Konecny improved his play away from the puck and his puck management, he was given that longer leash.
