Allegedly sure.
If true, has he dealt with it permanently, or put the straw down for a couple of months only?
Hope he comes into camp stronger, fit and trim with a healthy attitude and commitment to his career and the team.
Maybe him and Jack should "separate" - IonSabres
All true started hitting up those hard core parties with Kane didn't take summer seriously last year partying all night
And he got caught a couple of times by the Sabres and they finally benched his ass for his "excuses" a couple years ago
He's a risk but everyone saw his game changed the second half of the season we'll see if he keeps clean |

havn't played much this year
had 6 pars though
over the green on 9 in 2
went tin cup on the short par 4 on the back, and got a 15
first drive looked great, hit the cart path by the green on hopped 100 yards OB
then 4 balls in the water from the tee and another ob left from the tee
I did everything tin did except hole it out

I think this is spot on about Sams expected contract value.
To answer Boss34 though, Sam's 1st half of last season is of some concern because the 2 halves were so widely different ... couple with a rumored intervention-type event to get him back playjng...well great actually.
The issue for me is, has Sam dealt with whatever the issue was in a permanent or just temporary manner? Will he be open to whatever caused him to fall so far so fast once again?
These are in fact reasons to give him a 2 year deal ... help both sides. Pay the man if he proves he dealt with it for 2-1/2 years straight. - IonSabres
first half they tried him at center with griffith and pouliot
that's not putting the kid in a place to thrive
if you are trying him out on the dot, IMO he should have had pommer or okposo on the wing
moving forward are we getting the reinhart that got 1 point in december
or the ppg player we had the last third of the season? |

That's the $64,000 question.
2 year prove it at $4.25M
Let him "dry" out for good.

Just got caught up on the Athletic for Sabres...Jon Vogle and Ryan Stinson primarily .... which is great site for those contemplating it.
Vogle in a Q&A format set the lines, as of now...this one caught my eye..
Sheary - Eichel - Thompson
I am aware of JBotts comments about wanting Tage to develop with the young centers, and Tage's comments about a top 6 role...but he reeks of a player who needs additional development which is JBotts mantra as well.
I'll be surprised if this happens |

Let's just give sam 6 years, we need guys that score 25 while playing with eichel.
He's scored goals in 5 out of 6 (1/2 seasons.)
New statistics on here everyday
Bandit likes guys that can score - sometimes

I do agree that TNT needs more time to develop which I’m fine with but the return is more idiotic Because we still don’t have jacks sniper It seems like this is going to be a throwaway season and we’re going to get more Assets in draft picks for next years draft so we can draft wingers |

So you have to pay for The Athletic ? No thanks. I'm way too old and cheap to pay for things like this. Besides, I get all the hot takes I need right here !

Btw you didn’t need a video about The problem Ryan O’Reilly was in the locker room |

He ended up playing a regular shift in the NHL next year. He seems to have the skillset where he needs to be on the top 6, especially on this team as it is constructed or he might as well be in the pressbox. Playing him on the 3rd or 4th line does nothing to help your team. |

Sometimes things you hear are believable.
Maybe not %100 true, but Sam and partying seams to be a pretty constant theme.
Sure sam played center for parts of the first half of the 2017-18 season
But, clearly something changed in the 2nd half of the season, what's your guess? |

Ever wonder if kane, ror and lehner were brought here to keep the Sabres selling tickets ,but yet able to complete the 5 year rebuild?
They all have "warts"
Eichel
Nylander
Mitts
Dahlin
Thank you,
Kane, ror and lehner : you helped us with your poor attitudes. Your abilities to divide the lockerroom locked us down some true stars. |

before the Cane game when Eichel got 4 points
he was going through the motions with 13 points in 23 games
Jack played on fire from the Cane game on
Skunk starter his terror a few games later

As far as durability, Sam has played 79, 79, and 82 games the past three seasons. I’d be more worried about Jack holding up in the playoffs. |

Murray thought this team was going to compete for a playoff spot his last season here
clear case of gm emptying the cabinet trying to win now, which pushed the rebuild back 3 more years
at least we got dahlin out of it |

I think labeling Nylander a “true star” might be a touch premature at this point. |
