In today's NHL you have to "play a fast game." Not "play the game fast."

Malone's a Harvard kid. Especially after the trade with the Blues brought in Berglund and Kamchatka, he's going to be in ROchester for a while. But, as long as his skills keep developing, he can play a fast game through intellect, even if he's not as fast and Bailey or Jack.

I just think about that play where Rhinehart touch passed the puck to Eichel with a wide open net for a goal. Rhinehart was standing still, but it was a quick play. It had nothing to do with footspeed. Do we need more footspeed? Absolutely. But playing the game quick and footspeed are two different things and I think we have a guy or two on this team that can make quick plays that people call "slow."
