Sabres fans: I don't want to give a 32 year old goalie a 3 year deal. (comes in at $2.75 per: I guess it's ok)
Fluery: At 33, I want a 3 year deal at $7m per.
Damn, I get it he was a 1st overall selection and really got Vegas to the cup last year, but damn. |

I hope so. Duchene is an interesting one as well. - Pegullaville
If by interesting, you mean that he is possibly the worst player to target for us...period.
Price to acquire him even from a division rival would be high, nevermind the questionable season, major attitude problems and UFA in a year...yeah he's interesting lol. |

3 cups, and lets face it he's proven
Hutton isn't really proven.

Agreed.
About 90% of this team has a lot to prove. |

It would have to be contingent on him signing an extension. |

Yes I agree. Still would never pay that much for a goalie, but I hear you.
But at 33 (contract is for next year, he will be 34) year old goalie, that seems like a lot. Good for him for sure. And Vegas really has a lot of options of how to move forward.
I would say that this last year for Vegas went really good, but just wait when they come back to earth this year and miss the playoffs (maybe). The worst part about losing in the cup finals in your first year is that there is not much room to improve and tons of room to decline. |

So as much as I like Duchene on the ice, there are reasons he left Colorado and I am not sure yet how I feel about the few details I know. He was traded and that team improved. Similar to what we are hoping from ROR.
One of the main differences, Duchene got it done 5v5 and not so much on PP, so maybe he has a bit more room to grow offensively? Also he is quite a bit faster. |

Man we should be calling Arizona to see if they’ll take Zack Bogosian and Kyle Okposo

He's a bit like Chris Osgood. Multiple cups, only 1 that he himself won. Very little personal hardware |

OK so he was won 3 cups. The first in 2008-2009. 10 years ago
The second, he played 2 games in that playoffs. 2015-2016
The third, he played in 15 games, but Murray played in the finals, 2016-2017
So I hear you he has cups, but he really only won 1 where he was the goalie in the finals.
Edit: Late, damn, looked up too much about it. haha |

I did hear GMJB asked Okposo for his 10 team no trade list. Maybe that is just standard to understand those details in case a team calls, or did a team already call? |

it looks like you have to give up some prospects to make that happen.. can we trade bogo, nylander and a 5th for a 3rd? - IndianaSabresFan
Or you can trade them Nick Baptiste and Justin Bailey |

He couldn't finish the job though. Just like this year. I just think he's very overrated. His name has always exceeded his actual performance imo. Not saying he's bad, he's not, just overrated. I wouldn't pay him any more than 5 for 2 years |

What do you mean he couldn’t finish the job ? His job was to get them to the finals so Matt Murray can take over and he completed that lol |
