No, it's just anti-Leafs fools spouting garbage like that. Leafs fans I know are realistic that it just puts them in the upper echelon with Tampa, Pittsburgh, etc. The 9-1 (or whatever) odds thing does not even mean that bookmakers believe the Leafs are the best. It's just their way of maximizing profit based on where money is being placed.

I have yet to see one Leafs fan on the forum refer to Toronto as Cup favourites.

I have seen a lot of Leafs fans happy and excited about adding Tavares.

The only people mentioning anything about the Leafs winning the Cup are the non Leafs fans who are making poop up to stir the pot or share their saltiness.

What a joke. Poor, poor Erik, not enough signing bonus for me. He is the most over-rated player in the NHL. He is not worth any where near the $ he is asking for. When he wins a Cup, he can talk and demand then. Whatever team signs him will be mortgaging their future and will likely disappointed. Yes, he'll put people in the seats, but much more than that is debatable.

You guys were predicting great things at the start of last season, not quite as bad as now though. No weaknesses would stop you guys, but then they did. I saw disappointment in the thread a sign there always is with any team going out. I seriously doubt the same people didn't think you guys could have gone further & were disappointed you didn't.

In regards to the Pens - which has zero to do with what I said, we got beat by the eventual champs - just. As you said, back to back, takes it toll on a team. Were there disappointed Pens fans? (frank)ing oath - I was 1 of them.

Some things around here are just unreal.....

I'm pretty sure no Leafs fan has said they are cup favorites, that was Vegas oddsmakers.....might want to not make stuff up randomly...most Leafs fans on this site are fairly realistic in their assessments of the team.
